Looks as if you need to install the OS for the system. It seems as if it lost. You should have the OS on CD and if not contact RolandUS and get one. You would put in the OS into your CD burner and power up the unit. I would recommend Roland HD support be on the other end if you are brand new. They will walk you through. The manual is just insane to learn.

I think your best option is to try downloading and installing the latest system update from the Roland Site link below.

When im loading a project, it shows operation failed

Did you try to scan your disc for bad sectors? Look in the manual and it will show you how to do a surface scan.

Roland VS 2480 v2 - working on album and received error message "load project please wait" since last night. have tried turning machine off and on and unplugging it. still same message.

Hi, have you tried to do a factory reset?

Hold SHIFT and press F4 (Utility). Press PAGE to get to page 3. Press F6 (PrmIni). Press F5. Press ENTER/YES.

If the factory reset does not fix the problem i think you have to format the disk because it has a fragmented disk .......

Roland VS 2480

Press the "UTILITY" button under the Menu heading above the 10 digit key-pad. Under "System Parameter" -Param3, check that PS2 Mouse is set to "ON" and (of course) that the connector is firmly inserted into the mouse connector socket.

"Setup Drive: Load Project -> Now working... -> Please wait...."

I have 3 2480s and I use them professionally so I think I can help you. Looks as if you need to install the OS for the system. It seems as if it lost. You should have the OS on CD and if not contact RolandUS and get one. You would put in the OS into your CD burner and power up the unit. I would recommend Roland HD support be on the other end if you are brand new. They will walk you through. I was one of the first to buy the 2480 when it came out and the manual is just insane to learn.
