I cannot find a remote control code that works to operate my PLTV-42HW68 with my Comcast cable remote control. I've gone through the "search" procedures with the remote and it doesn't find one, and there are no SpectronIQ codes listed in the instructions that came with the Comcast remote.

have you checked the capacitors check them on the power board look for a none flat top if any look like the tops have lifted up and gone rounded change them. also check the sound board for the same.

These two codes will work with models:

TFTV1022, TFTV1212, TFTV1513, TFTV1514, TFTV1524, TFTV1913, TFTV1923, TFTV2214, TFTV2224, TFTV2617, TFTV3217, TFTV4217

Keep in mind that these codes are not guaranteed to work, they've worked on a few cable/satellite boxes for Direct TV and Cox.

These three codes will work with the models:

TFTV1525, TFTV2225 and TFTV3225 (VZON TFTV1500, TFTV2200, TFTV3200)

These three codes are not provider specific, however, they've been confirmed to work for a few customers that have Comcast cable service. These codes can be tried with any universal remote control for the above models.

Comcast: 12017 (User submitted), 11531, 11265 (confirmed to work with TFTV2425)

There are several sites online that have numerous codes. If you just do a search "remote control codes" This will bring up several sites with codes for all tvs and remotes. One for Comcast is www.comcast.com/corporate/customers/customer.../remotes

Before trying for a replacement. Take out batteries. Leave to dry near radiator or in hot press for a few days. Stick in a new set of batteries and try it again. If this does not work you could try a local electrical shop that deals with spectronic. Or a universal remote.

Post the model number of the comcast remote. It is usually on the bottom side of the remote, however it could be buried under the battery cover. Then I can get you the manual for the codes.

since ilo tvs dont seem to have a specific code, you can either try the generic codes that are found here in the pdf manual.
