Can anybody help me with this? I the lamp light on my TV which is red and thinking it must have been broken, my TV went dim,though i see pictures but it was too dim to watch.Anybody know what to do? Thanks...

Hi, Is is standby light blinking red or any other light? Let me know how many times red standby light blinking after three seconds long pause to provide you helpful info. It seems pop sound was due to broken lamp, please check lamp inside tv and if it is broken, replace it to solve tv problem. Hope this will help. Thanks.
I just replaced a lamp in a Sony LCD projection that was just over a year old and it was bad. It was a VERY dim picture. You have a DLP but, in either case a dim or dark picture is almost always caused by the lamp.
