It could be few things. There is a in line fuse that goes to the heater it is usually black in col because of the heat but it connects to the heater and leads back and connects to a black wire, usually. Make sure it is unplugged. Take the top off and disconnect the fuse on both ends and use as volt meter to check for continuity from one end to another. If there is no continuity you can bypass the fuse with a just a straight wire with the male connectors on it. You can find a replacement here and also a picture of what you should look for http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cf.mp-cdn.net/dd/26/7e07e7a94b56ff20da51483d5de1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.monstermarketplace.com/coffee-brewers-and-equipment/bunn-20211-0100-thermal-fuse-thermo-htr-c-fct&usg=__QFM1R-qQZJmi3bmnGq11Z2M1yoY=&h=122&w=625&sz=6&hl=en&start=6&zoom=1&itbs=1&tbnid=y4KMBBVcmaPKeM:&tbnh=27&tbnw=136&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbunn%2Bo%2Bmatic%2Bthermal%2Bfuse%26hl%3Den%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1 . If this does not help please comment and I will let you know what else you can check. Hope this helps. WWW.MidstateBeverage.com

Hot water coming out of tub slow

Two possible options i can think of.
1) the hot water valve at the hot water tank is partially closed. look for a lever that can be opened fully. the valve could have become faulty.
2) a copper line from the tank to the faucet might be bent somewhere in the middle

No water pressure on the hot water side of the faucet

Do you have a plugged hot water line coming from hot water tank? Is the hot water tank shut off open?Do you have two faucets coming to your sink? If so the hot water one could have a plugged filter where the water comes out. Is the hot water tap working properly.
Could be a rust build up some place.

Need to separate heating and hot water - just have hot water on

Hot water comes out cold side for few seconds and gets cold, no hot from hot side, only cold

Make sure that the water pipes for the cold water coming in and the hot water going out are connected to the correct positions on the water heater. If the connections get reversed, the water that is supposed to be hot will be drawn from the bottom of the tank and will not be as hot as it should be. The cold water input goes to the bottom of the tank. The hot water out comes from the top of the tank.
