Re: My picture is not cystal clear. Do I need a Hdmi...
All HD televisions need HDMI cables for clear picture. If you don't have one, you're not utilizing HD. Opt-World has some good, low priced cables for HDMI.

Try using different input ports on the TV. Experiment with HDMI and component cable inputs if yu have a DVD player or cable box with those type of outputs
First we need to know a little more details about the kind of TV you have, the kind of service (Cable, Satellite or off Air).
Comparing showroom to your home is also something we need to know. Was the showroom using Cable or Satellite. Satellite will always have a better picture quality wise.
If you are using composite input for the signal path between TV and source this would not produce a High Dif picture Composite = Yellow for video, red and white for audio. If you are using Component source that will produce a HD signal cable is RED/BLUE and Green with different audio.
The best quality is using an HDMI cable, this is all in one cable and the sources is the best. One last thing, if you are using the RF *cable as source it will not give you a quality signal.
You also need to check that you have set the output of your device to HDMI and the input of the TV to HDMI. In the past the TV may have automatically selected HDMI when the device is turned on but sometimes that does not work.
I have the same problem. Good picture with no sound at all. I have a LG DVX583KH and LG TV LM7200. I connected the DVD player to TV via HDMI cable, I have a clear picture but no sound. I try to hook up the DVD to other TV and it works both sound and picture. Please help
you need to select High definition output on the PS3. Connect it via hdmi and via standard lead switch the tv to standard so you can see the picture then select high definition output. Switch over to hdmi and you should see a picture
Cable box have HDMI port, hook it up on a HDMI cable to the tv,will improve picture quality greatly.Tries HDMI cable to hook up the PS3 system and go in setup changes to HDMI setup will get HD format picture, will be very clear no more grainy and inconsistanty.
No picture
when connecting HDMI:
Check HDMI cable over version 1.3.
The HDMI cables don’t support HDMI version 1.3, it cause flickers or no screen
display. In this case use the latest cables that support HDMI version 1.3.
Try different ports. Use and HDMI cable and see if it is doing on it. If you are using a HDMI cable now hook the connection up with the component cables and see if it is doing the same thing. If it is clear on one of the other ports you have a port on your mainboard that is bad.
Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem, you could return it. However, when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input? Or even an optical output from the TV to the receiver? solutiondoct
Sounds like you either have a bad card or a bad HDMI cable. Scarts are not the most dependable when it come to HD imaging there is alot of converting going on espically if the TV isnt NTSC standard to begin.
