If you jailbreak (quickpwn.com) there is an app on cydia that will change it to tap to unlock rather than slide so it should be more sensitive.

press menu-settings-ok-phone settings-ok-slide settings-set these to your preferences, If this doesnt work do a reset in settings (#9) check "reset all" if this doesnt work you have a faulty ribbon cable/slide sensor inside your phone, Can be fixed but you need the hands/tools/parts for the job, Hope this helps.

Can't create, or go to the inbox.. phone sometimes hangs.. and switches off ..??!!@@
Restart the phone, e.g turn it on and off and then try again... Sometimes to delete a message, actually go into the message then press delete, it doesnt always work if you go to the inbox itself and select a message and delete :)

2001Tracker rear tailgate won't open.
you know my mom has this same issue with her rear door where you hit unlock it sounds like it unlocks but doesnt...she has done the following..she has a keypad with automatic locks she will hit the lock button and then the unlock button and it unlocks it...as for someone elses suggestion im not sure but its annoying and she doesnt care to have it fixed so it works for her.
