My router is connected to my modem and instead of a green right its an orange light it was working yesterday..i tried unplugging it and then using the click to fix button but it remains orange and tells me to call belkin

Solution:

Step 1:
Make sure the that router is connected to your modem with an ethernet cable via the router’s internet (WAN) port.

Step 2:
Unplug the modem from its power source and make sure that it's totally turned OFF. Then re-plug the modem to the power source.

Step 3:
Unplug your router’s power supply, wait for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. This will cause the router to reestablish communication with the modem.

If you still cannot browse the web, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

an rj45 cable - have you tried using the old cable with the new device?

You have lost your connectivity between modem and router.

Be sure you always start your network in this sequence:

1. Turn off and unplug the modem from the power outlet. Next, turn off the wireless router
and computer.

2. Turn on the modem and wait 2 minutes.

3. Turn on the wireless router and wait 1 minute.

4. Turn on the computer.

If this does not work, come back to your post let me know and we will try a full reset.

Some routers will not get online if voip is connected while repairing connection. I would unplug your voip and try to connect then. Unplug your modem for about 30-45 seconds and then make sure all wiring is correct. Once you are able to connect the plug your voip back in. Internet light is not supposed to be orange but green or on some routers blue. If your modem aslo has orange light it is possible it is your provider issue. I would also check with them if steps i described above dont work. Good luck.

If you can access the configuration page of the router then check the IP configuration. Check WAN and LAN configurations. IP 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 will able u to access configuration page. Username and password hopefully be admin admin.
