Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
[ First check and make sure someone did not over service the engine oil level. ] #1 Cause of oil blow by that happens out of the blue.

This is happening because the crank case is over pressurizing. The breather a.s.s.y is dirty. Remove the OIL breather a.s.s.y from the side of the engine and soak it a cleaning solution. There is an internal reed that is sticking. Carb cleaner may be a big help. My experience is the longer you soak an oil breather the better it will work post cleaning. If after you clean it and your sure it is clean your still having oil blow by issues... the problem can actually be the oil rings on the piston are stuck to the piston skirt. Usually this causes an engine to always smoke at all speeds, loaded or unloaded. The other culptit(s) can be hardened valve stem seals. The stem seals are inside the valve springs on the top of the valve guides. Lastly the valve guides can be worn out. It takes a lot of engine negligence and lots of engine hours to wear out a valve guide. I think once you get the breather a.s.s.y cleaned up that it will work just fine.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Kelly

This issue calls siphoning effect. It happens when the drain hose was somehow lower or not stand vertically. It causes no air pressure column in the drain hose to keep the water out. Check the drain hose and make sure it is high enough. Try to hold the drain hose straight up and see if it is happened before having further inspection.

I get engine oil to come from the air filter when I tilt the washer more than 90 degrees, this happened while removing the pump unit itself, other wise it works fine, is this normal? should I be worried?

You shouldn't ever tip an engine towards it air filter, when you get oil in the filter, it is usually accompanied with other problems. At least make sure the air filter is cleaned or replaced. I also recommend you remove and clean the carburetor with carb cleaner from your local parts store.

When i switch on the power of my karcher K2.38 power washer, the motor runs but there does not appear to be any increase in pressure, which means that it is ineffective when it comes to cleaning the patio/...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly/
First off, remove the water supply hose from the power washer and locate the in line filter. Most of them are a plastic screen stuffed into the plumbing just behind the hose washer. Others have a short stand off and the filter / screen may be where the stand off attaches to the pressure washer. Others units have in in line sump that usually has a blue or red cap that you remove to clean the sump. Find the filtering mechanism(s) and clean it.
After doing this... attach the water hose loose to the power washer and turn on the water supply hose. Wait for all of the air to purge from the water supply hose. Then tighten the water supply hose. After that... Squeeze the wand trigger until all the air purges out of the high pressure hose and you get a solid stream of water with the unit off. Once you get a solid stream of water with the unit off... power the unit up and see if the high pressure hose becomes rigid / charges with high pressure. Next.... cycle the wand trigger 1 second on... and then wait for the hose to charge again. Do this multiple times. What your doing is forcing the un-loader / relief valve to stroke in the pump. Until the un-loader valve stokes un-restricted; you will have pressure problems. Next after the hose is fully charged... cycle the wand trigger very rapidly until you get high pressure each time you cycle the wand trigger. At this point your done and can proceed with patio cleaning.

Should this NOT resolve your problem.... get as much water out if it as you possibly can and pour a few ounces of engine oil into the water inlet. (Easier said than done... but you have to get oil into the pump and then let it sit over night. once you have oil in the pump pull the recoil 2 times with the ignition off just to force oil through the pump)
The next day you go through the same routine as stated above. This brings about 80% of the stubborn ones back to life again. Should it still be fussy after doing all of the above... you will have to replace the unload-er valve. If you removed the un-loader valve for any reason... you must clean out the pump housing and lubricate it and the un-loader valve with white grease (<-Available at any automotive parts source) BEFORE reinserting either the old one or a replacement un-loader valve. If you attempt to use the old one with lubrication.. make sure to remove any debris from the springs and wipe the seals clean with a PAPER towel before lubrication.

I borrowed my nieghbors power washer. It worked the first day all day. In the morning i filled the gas with a fuel stabiler, and 30 oil. I may have over filled it. Upon turning it on the oil started...

You will need to get a new filter, and drain some of the oil out of the machine. If you over fill these this will happen. 90% of the time nothing is broken.

Oil leaking on 1987 911 porsche around base of back topside motor

This is almost always the pressure sending unit for the oil pressure gauge. It is located at back topside of the motor, slightly to the right of the center of the engine. It is buried beneath the intake manifold.

Pressure washer that leaks oil through the air breather

Most likely your air filter is plugged or dirty, or the crank case vent valve needs to be cleaned.if it still does it check that the oil level is at the full mark, if overfilled it would cause the same problem.

Water leak

Remove the lower panel under the washer door and inspect the interior. The panel is removed by loosening and removing the screws under the bottom front edge. With the screws removed the panel will drop down, then off. Inspect the following areas:

- Check all hoses for leaks, cracks, holes and loose connections. Check the seal where the drain hose from the bottom of the wash tub connects to the intake of the drain pump. Make sure the drain hose from the pump to the standpipe is connected snug to the pump and is not leaking.
- Check the drain pump to ensure it is not leaking. The clean out reservoir cap (if not fitted properly) can leak around the seal.
- Check the door bellow (gray rubber boot) to ensure it is not leaking. HINT: A tale-tell sign of bellow leakage is wetness showing up on the front washer counterweight. This is a concrete block mounted to the front of the wash tub. It is not supposed to be wet.
- Check the pressure switch air hose to ensure it is connected to the air dome on the side of the wash tub. This is a small rubber hose that runs from the pressure switch in the top left rear of the washer (viewed from the back, with the washer top panel removed) to the bottom right hand side of the wash tub. However, if this hose were to come off the air dome fitting, the wash tub would continously try to fill and water would begin to pour from the bottom of the wash tub. If this does not sound like your symptoms, disregard this step.
- Check the seam where the wash tub shells meet. There is a rubber tub gasket that seals the two tub halves together. If the seal is bad, water will begin to collect and drip along this seam.
- Check the tub for cracks. This is NOT common, but it can happen.

The following link explains the step-by-step process of checking and cleaning the drain pump:

I mention this link, because it gives you some guidance on how to access the pump and how avoid the possible mess involved with water pouring out of the pump.

If you discover the door bellow as the the cause for your leak, please refer to this link:

I hope this leads you in the right direction and helps you resolve your problem. Please post back if you have any further questions.
