no PC stated, so I must assume this monitor fails on 2 good PCs, so if yes, gee is a bad monitor
does the OSD work>? it must. or the monitor is bad.
caps are only part of a problem on 1999 to 2007 years
when DERP engineers used china cloned bad CAPS.
the wiki on cap plague is clear on that.
the insides has 2 cards, most do.

so if the CCFL are dead.
does the flash light test pass or fail, learn this skill on all LCD made before magic year 2010
your manual says on page 2, and I quote to you.
"Due to the nature of the fluorescent light"

power on, and for timer (no burn timer)
the monitor runs for 10 to 30 seconds, and will show
for 13 long ears the ACer LOGO
and then in less than 10 seconds you push mon. Menu
and OSD shows, up. it must or CCFL dead
with flash light pointed to the screen you see both
logo and OSD proving CCLF is dead, and see data now.
if not the the PSU is dead or the logic died
PSU is prime fail (due to heat)

RTM and see words mercury or Hg, or fluorescent

BAM you have CCFL, 2009 and older all do.
