Hi,

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com.

AF is an error that will flash if a restricted air flow is sensed by the dryer control. If three consecutive cycles have low airflow the control will flash the AF error.

The AF error code can be cleared by pressing the Drying Temp pad for 5 seconds while in stand-by mode. AF will flash in the display for 1 second then "on" will appear in the display. If you press Drying Temp again and "of" will appear in the display indicating the AF error display has been turned off. Try this procedure and see if the "of" error goes away. If the "of" came up in the display by itself then the keypad may be stuck. However After cleaning the dryer's lint screen, ensure that the exterior exhaust hood connected to the dryer is unblocked, ensure that the vent connecting the dryer to the wall is clear and see that the vent is cleaned professionally.

Clean lint screen light keeps blinking

The clean lint screen light is just a dummy light. There is no sensor for that.
If it's giving you a AF error then disconnect the vent and run it. If it completes the cycle then it's your vent. If not it's your thermistor.

Duet f70 erroe

An F70 error is indicating that an overheating condition has been sensed.
Causes:
1. Lint build up at the outside wall vent flapper (Clean and Vac)
2. Lint build up in the dryer ducting (Clean and Vac)
3, Poor Air Flow through the dryer due to a blower wheel problem. (Broken blower wheel fins or the venter hub fails causing the blow wheel not to turn at full speed.
4. Lint filter is clogged with fabric sheet particulate. Wash it with vinegar and water and then soap and water.
5. Lint filter cavity is full of lint. Use a folded wire coat hanger to reach the inaccesable areas to dislodge lint build up.

This error is always caused by poor air flow. The dryer vent external connection should push a relaxed hand gently away from the dryer vent connection of the dryer. If you do not have this type of air flow you need to find out why.

It will not dry it say the lettrs af

The airflow is restricted as indicated by the AF code. Check for clog lint filter and/or restricted vent system as lint build up in these areas cause airflow restriction and hence the AF code. Another possible reason is a faulty exhaust thermistor located on the blower housing. It is likely a thermistor fault if the lint filter including the vent system are all clear from lint built up but the AF code persists.

Disconnect power then remove the rear access panel and locate the thermistor on the blower housing. Disconnecting the thermistor and running the dryer will cause E1 to appear on the display to indicate an open circuit thermistor and E2 if the thermistor wires are connected together. Replace the thermistor if this is the case. Click on the links below for additional troubleshooting information.

Hi Our Bosch dishwasher (sms63e09uk) has E:01 displayed on the digital control panel. What does this mean and how do we rectifiy the problem

It means the machine is not getting enough water you need to replace the water inlet valve, that is very possible try cleaning it and see if that helps. If it does not then the problem is the water valve.Which is a very common problem.

This air flow error code refers to the dryer vent. This can refer to the dryer's lint screen, the thermistor behind the filter, or the vent itself could be clogged.
In order to determine which one is the problem we will need to gather some information.
1. Will water pour through lint filter's mess?
2. Outside where the unit vents on the side of the house can you feel air coming out?
3. Is the vent hose on the backside kinked or clogged?
4. Obstruction on vent housing outside (if screen is present on outside remove right away this is a fire hazard.)
Water should pour through the lint filter easily. Fabric sheets will put a layer of wax on the lint screen causing the dryer air circulation to be cut off. We should be able to feel warm, moist air at the vent outside. If air is not present you are in need of a dryer vent cleaning. A kinked or clogged vent hose can also cause the E01 error code. Ensure the vent hose is clear and placed in position with as few bends as necessary. When the vent is clear the E01 error should clear itself upon start up.

Hope helps.

The dryer is not drying as good as it should be and it will display the following letters AF

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Your AF error code is most likely an "Air-Flow error. Long drying times are ALWAYS cvaused by poor air-flow in a dryer.

Since you did not include a "Make and Model number" this reponse is generic.

The causes are many.
1. Go outside and check the thru the wall dryer duct flapper. Make sure it is free of lint.
2. Pull the lint filter and wash it with vinegar. The water then soap and water with a very good fresh water rinse.
3. Inspect the area where the lint filter is installed for any signs of lint build up. Use a crevice tool and a stretched out and folded in half wire coat hanger (Looped) to reach deep onto the lint build up areas so you can remove the lint with a crevice tool and Vacuum.
4. Remove the vent duct from the back of the dryer and check the air-flow. The air-flow should push a relaxed hand / wrist gently away from the dryer vent hole with the dryer on. If you do not get this kind of aor flow you will need to ensure all of the lint has been removed from the internal dryer ducting. If your sure the ducting is clear and you stil have poor air-flow then most likely the blower wheel has failed, Most of the time the center hub will crack and the blower wheel will not turn at full speed. Other times a fan blade breaks and blocks the ducting.
5. Use a flash light and look into the vent duct hole on the back of the dryer. Check for a restricted duct. Clean as necessary.
The above are the most common reasons for higher electric bills and long drying times.
Have a 2nd person look for lint after your done cleaning! The more eyes the better.

What does AF error mean on Cabrio electric dryer

AF on your Cabrio means the Air Flow is being obstructed. Make sure the vent is secure and free of debris at the back of the appliance. Also ensure there is no obstruction where it is vented outside of your home. Lastly, make sure the lint trap is clean. Your dryer will still run normally, but it's best to go through your checklist so no further issues arise.

The letters AF come on. what does this mean? air filter problem? it is not drying.

An "AF" code means there is a low airflow condition and the clothes may not dry properly. To remedy this, check to make sure the lint screen is cleaned off and that there is no blockage in either the vent duct that runs from the dryer to the wall or the vent hood on the exterior of the house.

AF Error Code

If thats not it, then you nay have a faulty sensor.
AF Restricted Airflow Condition
"AF" flashes if a restricted airflow condition exists. Check to make sure the lint screen is clean, the door seal is in place and the vent is not
obstructed.

I have a Wirlpool cabrio dryer in it's "time remaining" says "AF" the clothes aren't drying. and the lent trap is collecting lint on the wrong side

This is an Air Flow warning error and you should check that the filter is clean and free of lint etc. Make sure it goes back in place correctly. Also check that the vent hose is not kinked or twisted or obstructed and any outside flap is opening correctly. It is well worth taking the outside flap or taking off the vent hose altogether and making sure it is clear of lint, fibres etc and this will cause the AF error.
