You can opt to use the "Easy Installation" or the "Expert Installation," which adds advanced settings for a high-end user. Also, you could try some more free players that can support a lot more formats such as Leawo Blu-ray Player, which is a region-free and 4k player.

If your are using Windows OS, just install the codec "K-Lite Codec Pack Full or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack Full" from http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm.

If you need to find something suitable, please go to the Gizmo's site and check out the frewware Video Converters there. I'm sure you will find something excellent to use. There's quite a few.

May be your mov file is corrupted; to repair it back, just use file repair software. Few days before, i was also suffering from the same problem. This tool has helped me to repair mov file and i got all my precious videos back. Try this, it will surely give you positive result.

The issue is going to be with your video codec's that are installed.

One thing you can try doing is download and install the k-lite codec pack from download.com

If you are using an MOV or MP4 file you can try changing the file extension to either (e.g. MOV change to MP4, MP4 change to MOV)

This is a known issue in VSX2

I strongly recommend using VLC for watching any type of video. Programs like Quicktime player, windows media player etc often need codecs to play certain video types and formats like avi, flv etc. As for quicktime player, you propably need to download the proper codec for your movie format type

I am using GOM Encoder to convert a MOV.file to a AVI.file. However, when I open the mov. file in GOM Encoder, it says the codec for the MOV. file is missing. Even if I use the Codec Finder, it's no use....

Try Handbrake, it's the best free video convertor out there IMO.

For some reason, my video is a .mov file and when I try and import it into Windows Media Player to rotate my video, it says that file type is not supported. What can I do?

First of all, you can't rotate a video without some expensive software installed on your computer and even then, the results will be poor at best. Download Quicktime from Apple to play your video...it's a free download.
