I can not install Learn to speak English Version 8.0 on windows 7

You could get the version compatible with Windows 7 (32 bits or 64 bits)

Use it on Windows XP,or buy a version compatible with Windows 7.

According to the company's website (http://www.amazon.com/Learn-to-Speak-German-8-1/dp/system-requirements/B00005TQ1E/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&n=229534&s=software), it works on Windows up to XP. It doesn't list Vista or Windows 7 as options. However if you have the Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise version of Windows 7 you might be able to run it in compatibility mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx or http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows).

Try running the program in compatibility mode. Right click on the icon used to start it, go to compatibility and change it to Windows XP. If this doesn't work, the program is not capable of running in Windows 7 so you will need to downgrade Windows or upgrade to a newer version of the Learn to Speak English software.

Windows XP provides such compatibility mode to run old program in Windows XP. Believe me, I've tried this and it works, in my case I installed my old game The Lost Mind of Dr Brain which developed for Windows 3.11 or Windows 95.

To do it, you just need to locate executable file of your program. Then right click on it, choose Properties. Then go to Compatibility tab, checked "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", then choose Windows 95. You may also need to thick the "Run in 256 color" and "Disable visual themes" check box.

I would contact the manafacturer for more information. If your disc shows a virus on it I am sure that they would like to know so that they can track and see if others are having the same issue. They also will be the ones to resolve it due to the fact that their product caused the issue.
