I recommend not connecting the yellow video cable to the Yamaha from the Wii. I have mine hooked up with the red and white cable to my receiver and I have the yellow cable connected to my television directly.

On this receiver the tv must be connected to the Monitor RCA Composite (yellow) output in the rear when you use another Composite input. You can't connect the Wii with the Composite and expect to use the tv with the HDMI - this unit doesn't have an onboard converter.
Once you have connected it correctly just select as a source the front connectors.

How to connect a turntable connected to a yamaha a450 stereo amplifier...can I attache the a450 to the htr-6130 ?

If the turntable is newer kind you can connect it in any Stereo input like CD, VCR , etc.

If the turntable is older model you can only connect it to PHONO input (if amp has one) and make sure earthing cable is connected on Amp

Remember input is only stereo (unless your model has digital input) and select sound effect eg Pro Logic for enhanced sound,

Trying to program my Receiver, a Yamaha HTR 6130 to the AUX on my Comcast remote, but neither of the codes they gave me seem to be working.

Do a code search from comcast. If you have the Comcast manual it shows you how to search for codes manually, it can take 15 to 20 minutes for you to do it, however, it should fid your code. The only drawback is that you can only control the volume and power, you won't have input or soundfield control. Hope this helps

No sound out of subwoofer when zune connected

I assume you're using red/white rca connections. if so, set your amp sound mode on that aux input to stereo, or go into your amp menu and change front speakers to small.

I have a Yamaha HTR-6130 Reciever of which I want to connect my Nintendo Wii and XBox 360 to. I already have my PS3 connected to the HDMI and the audio connected to the red & white a/v inputs, but I've...

Not sure if this is your problem, or not, but the red and white wires are for audio. There is a separate yellow wire for composite video. Alternatively, you can use the red/green/blue (RGB) connector cable for component video.

Yamaha HTR-6130 Front right and left speakers with no sound

As simple as this sounds, try hitting the speaker a/b button on the front of the unit, next to the headphone jack. I had the same problem, and was about to package the whole thing back up and go back to Best Buy when I hit this button and then the audio test worked.
