This worked for me. I moved and lost the FX65A, and Had to buy a replacement off ebay,
Used this manual http://www.specsserver.com/CACHE/FRQUJVMNXTYS.PDF but I have to give mosyzlak props, cause he gave me the idea to look for it.

To "pair" the wireless system with the main unit:

1) Power on the Main (Home Theatre) Unit

2) Power on the Wireless Receiver
=
3) Hold down the "Stop" button on the Main Unit AND at the same time hold down the number "2" on the Remote Control.
Keep holding these until the letter "P" shows up on the Main Unit display.

4) After "P" shows up on the Main Unit display, press the "ID Set" button on the back of the Wireless Receiver USING a pen or paperclip.

The light should turn GREEN on the Wireless Reciever and the "W" still stay solid (not blinking) on the Main Unit.

Purchased the SE-FX65A in 2008 and noticed last month that the device has started to melt. What is the problem? Any recalls on this device?

Either take it back to where you bought it for exchange with a non-melting version, or contact the repair depot for the product (look on the included instruction sheet).

I have a se-fx65 wireless system but the remote surrond sound unit will not pick up a signal from the main unit i have checked that the card in the back of the main unit is in properly and the right way...

Thankyou for your response! our SE-FX65 had been out of commission for over 2 years (we'd just given up on it) and I tried your solution as a last-ditch before the wireless unit hit the garage sale box. The key was pushing the >>/>> button on the HOME THEATRE UNIT, not on the remote.

So hit >>/>> on home theatre, 3 on the remote,
look for the P, then the wireless unit turns green
(the SET/ID is on back of wireless if you need that for multiple units) and THEN
hit the >>/>> and 3 again to finish the job.

Thanks again for the suggestion. I am doing the happy dance!

Wireless digital transmitter doesn't work

I'm having this same problem; it worked all ok in the beginning then one day it didn't and no matter what I try it doesn't seem to connect. Similarly im getting the W1 flashing and even when I take the receiver and move it closer (even within a few feet) it still wont pick it up. I've removed the wireless home phone and baby monitor from within the room without any result. I cannot think of anything else that could be interfering. Any advice or resolution would be much appreciated.

SA-PT750 rear wireless speakers don't work

Just solved this one thanks to another posting on this site.
Turn all components off.
Check to make sure your wireless card is snugly plugged into the back of the home theatre unit. (Of course you already have. Check again, though, while everything is off.)
Turn wireless unit on first.
Turn on home theatre unit.
The W1 light should be on and blinking red at you (darnit!)

Here's the magic.
Hit the >>/>> button on the front of the home theatre unit WHILE you hit the number 3 on your Panasonic remote.
The screen changes to a P
Then, the wireless unit light should change from red to green (HOORRAAYYYYY!)
If you have multiple wireless units, at this point, you should also hit the Set/ID button on the back of the wireless unit (it is the kind of button that requires something to poke into it to set it).

Then simply hit the >>/>> and 3 at the same time again.
All's good.

And by the way, shame on Panasonic. not only do they not seem to carry these manuals anymore (how hard would it be to have a PDF file and a link on a web page?) but the support info they did have did not contain these steps. Thanks to the FixYa member willray411 for posting this first!

Is your main set is on while the transmitter card in inserted on main set?

If so, try do "pairing process" to pair up main set and wireless unit.
Pairing process can found in Operating Instruction manual which come along with the main set.

Can't get sound from the wireless subwoofer

There are 2 things you can try, first ensure that the digital transmitter is fully inserted into the slot of the main unit. Secondly do you have any other wireless devices near such as cordless phone or wireless network equipment? See page 5 of the installation manual as per this picture.......
