Whirlpool GC5SHEX side by side. On beverage dispenser, when getting water there is hammer sound and the water slows right down. Not sure if its the dual solenoid valve in the bottom back corner gone bad and not opening correctly and restricting flow, or its the switch in the dispenser. Have you seen this problem before

SOURCE: whirlpool side by side water dispenser not working

I had the same problem and it appear the cable set between the freezer door and refrigerator body has some wires broken. The cable is in the bottom right hinge. You can try moving the cable with fingers at the same time you're pushing the water lever.

While this is not going to be a permanent fix, at least it confirm where the problem is.

SOURCE: Very slow drip from water dispenser. How do I fix

Good day,
A slow continues drip, but still dispenses O.K. is caused by the dual water valve on the bottom rear of the machine not closing completely.
Only fix is replacing the water valve assembly.

SOURCE: MY SIDE BY SIDE Whirlpool

A clogged or incorrectly installedwater filter will reduce the water flow to the water dispenser. Check for aproblem with the filter by removing the filter and operating the dispenser. Ifwater begins to flow, then the filter is either clogged or incorrectlyinstalled. A clogged filter will need to be replaced.Thanks.

What would cause a Whirlpool Dishwasher DU1148XTPB3 Soap Dispenser's trigger/spring to continuously try to open the soap dispenser after it has been opened.

Question edited for multiple spelling errors

Because water hammer is nothing to do with the soap dispenser! In fact nothing to do with the dishwasher, apart from it requesting water from the mains supply. It goes all the way back to one of your main water valves although it may be the water inlet valve on the dishwater. You need a 'water hammer arrestor'.

Slow water flow from the water dispenser

If it was fast at one point there are a couple of things that come to mind. Make sure your water line is not kinked at any point behind the frig. Also, when was the last time you changed your filter? Dirty water filters can cause low water pressure. Let me know if I can help further, good luck! :D

Water leaking from icemaker on outside

If this is your water dispenser leaking
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

Ed25rfxfw01 whirlpool fridge water dispenser ...I have a slow drip from the dispenser hose. I assume I need a new water inlet valve. How do I access the inlet valve for replacing?

It should be on the right hand side in the back take off the compressor cover on the back should be 8 or so 1/4 screws nutdriver type and then two more hold on the water valve. If you have a RO system hooked up to refrig you may need to change the filters on the ro or just change the filter on the refrig. those two will also cause the water to drip thru the valve allowing it to drip on the front

Water Dispenser on Side by Side not dispensing

It's quite possible it is plugged by hard water deposits forming in the supply line as these lines are quite small. You can check if it is plugged by shutting off the supply line and removing it. After removal turn it back on but have the end in a bucket in case the blockage is in your fridge unit. If water comes out it is in the fridge. Usually there is a screen to prevent large particles from entering. Make sure that is clean. Try these and see if that helps. If it doesn't get back to me as the trouble shooting will get more intense. I'm hoping this helps.
