I have a Whirlpool WCP58580 oven, and I have a couple of problems.....1) when you open the oven door the light no longer comes on 2) it appears the convection fan is no longer working. Could this be a fuse problem? How do I know if a fuse is bad or which fuse to replace if that's the issue?

Possibly one of the fuses, the easier way is to check them one by one and the bad one will be noticed.

There is something wrong with the model number you've provided. Generally, there is often a door latch to move. Many older units have a door shield which needs to be positioned before starting to protect glass. Set the length of time you'd like the unit to run and set the control to clean. You may also have to set the temperature to clean. If you have a mechanical timer, set it so the stop portion is about 2.5 hours later than the time you're starting the cycle.

If you get the correct model number, you can get access to the manual at whirlpool.com

SOURCE: Oven display went blank. Has Power.

Hello, The first thing I'd look at is your owner's manual to insure the timer hasn't been set to "Sabbath" mode accidently. If that is the case you could experience a "no display" scenario. The manual will also explain how to enter/exit the "Sabbath" mode. In the event the timer itself is at fault ( i.e. the display transformer gone bad ) it will have to be replaced or (if an available option exist's for your timer) have your timer rebuilt. Hope that help's and please take a second and rate the info provided by me here at fixya. Thank you and good luck. macmarkus :)
