Hi Raviseetha,

This is the issue with the Laptop Charger, your charger is faulty.

I would recommend borrowing a friend or family's laptop charger that works on your laptop and see if it works. If it does not, then the problem could be something internal circuitary and you should ask Compaq to fix it. If it charger works, then the problem is definitely the charger, possibly because it is not providing enough power which would usually happens all the time with most of the laptops
.
If you laptop is under warranty,I am pretty sure if you ask Compaq to replace the parts or fix them if necessary. Else you could buy a new charger and it would fix your issue..

This should solve your issue.

Please revert me, if you need more assistance, i would be very glad to assist you more.
If you were satisfied with the solution please rate this solution.

Thanks For using FixYa!

How to connect to laptop

Using a wireless mouse with a laptop is a convenient way to avoid using the laptop's built in mouse.

Moreover, even if you use an external mouse, carrying a wireless mouse is easier than the wired version.
Here is how to use a wireless mouse with a laptop.

Ensure that your laptop is compatible with a wireless mouse.
Most wireless mice use Bluetooth technology.
Any Bluetooth enabled laptop can connect to a Bluetooth wireless mouse.
Unpack your mouse and insert batteries to the battery chamber.
While doing so, make sure that the positive side of the battery is inserted into the positive niche in the compartment.

Place the mouse in a way that makes it easy for you to use and less stressful for your fingers.
Use a wireless receiver if your laptop does not have an built in wireless receiver (either Bluetooth or 802.11b).
It should be kept at least eight inches away from the laptop or any other object that would cause any interference.

Insert the drivers, if any, for the mouse to function properly.
Connect your receiver to the laptop by plugging in the mouse's USB connector to the USB port of the laptop.
If you do not have any free USB ports, simply use an external USB hub for more ports.

Hello how do i get the wireless mouse to work on my laptop? i have it plugged in but it doesn't work

1. Put in the batteries Find the battery cover and slide it off. Insert the appropriate batteries. The wireless receiver that plugs into the computer runs off the computer's power and needs no batteries.

2. Plug in the receiver to the computer. Usually the receiver will plug into the USB port, but some plug into the mouse port. If all of your USB ports are filled, see if the mouse came with a USB adapter. The adapter fits into the mouse port. Be careful not to accidentally force the mouse adapter into the keyboard port.

3. Connect the mouse once you have it plugged in. The receiver should have a visible button that is easily pushable by the average human finger. The mouse will usually have a very small hole with a button inside it that can only be pushed by something like a pencil or paper clip. Push both buttons at the same time with the receiver and the mouse relatively close to each other for about 5 seconds or more.

4. Position the receiver in a place that isn't far away from the mouse. Depending on where you are, you can place it on the monitor, on the tower, on the back of your laptop (if you are installing the mouse to your laptop) or on the desk. The furthest a wireless mouse can get away from the receiver without not working very well is about 9 feet (2.7 meters), so keep that in mind.

5. Test your new mouse.
- If you plugged into the mouse port, restart your computer manually.
- If you plugged it into the USB port you may begin using it.
- When the cursor moves when you move the mouse, you have connected the mouse properly. If the cursor doesn't move, try repositioning the receiver. If it still doesn't work, you may need to restart your computer (if you haven't already) or reconnect everything.

Hope this help. Goodluck!

I received a mickey mouse glove wireless mouse for the holidays. When I plugged the piece into the computer the mouse wouldn't work. Is there anything that I need to do to get started that I am not doing...

Hello,
If there was a cd with the mouse, make sure you have inserted it and followed the installation steps.

The operating system compatibility for the product is Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/VISTA, Mac OS10.3 If you use a different one, it might be the reason why the mouse is not working.
If the red optical light is lit under the mouse and the USB transmitter is properly inserted, try pushing the button on the transmitter. If no change, try clicking the mouse buttons.
You can also try a different USB port.
If there is no red light, the batteries inside the mouse are either not inserted properly or dead.

My mouse quit working

Check if it is plugged in it's proper port (USB slot). Check if the mouse wire is damaged, if not try unplugging it then plug it back in. If it is wireless, check if it still has battery. Better charge it first then try it again.

First thing you need to do is to know that the USB ports of your laptop is really working. Insert another usb devices or storage such a flash disk. If the flash disk being inserted is not recognized by the system then the usb port you had inserted is malfunctioning or it is defective. But if the other usb devices like the flash disk is working then your new bought mouse is defective. Try to plug the usb mouse to the other ports available in your laptop.
