LG Spilt A/C

I have problem with LG Split A/C remote control operation.

AC is working well with Forced Operation i.e. without remote control

Remote is not working although I changed battery several times.

Please suggest what will be cause of problem of A/C not working by remote. I have problem that I cannot control Temp. without remote as the forced operation is working at same temp.

Medev,

there is a lot of reason why your LG split unit would not work by remote control.
first likely trouble is the remote itself. it could have drop from a height and broke the remote, or corrosion has set inside the remote if you left an old battery for a long time and it could have broken it.

secondly which is not more likely to happen is the remote receiver in your unit got broke that is why it can not communicate with your remote controller. it could happen if someone has serviced your evaporator and could have disconnected wires to the receiver , or wires were just left not connected.

you can test the remote if you have an identical unit which is working with a working remote. use the working remote to your unit then you can decide.
i hope i was able to help.

I want to know that how mini split system automatic work? there is any thermostate or any other device?

Generally, they are operated by a remote control (similar to a television), although some units do have a wired wall control option as well. The indoor and outdoor unit has sensors that measure temperature (to control the operation of the mini-split) and (once the remote is set) the sensors control the system until it reaches the set point set on the remote.

Temp Control Problems

Hi, hild, first thing; stop the AC by remote controler, than select the fan option pressing by mode button and next start the AC, wait 8 minutes, if the unit still blows cold air, the thermistor has to be replaced. I hope this was helpful to you! success!

We have LG spilt AC unit and the remote was last. if there is any setting in the AC unit for to ON the AC unit without remote?

There will be manual butting near the display. Lift the front cover and you can see. But no option to change mode or setting temp. It's strictly advisable to buy new remote.Thanks.

LG Split Ac LSA5NF5VFC1 Compressor Stops after every 7 minutes.

One possibility is that it is short of refrigerant and is short cycling due to the low pressure cut out switch? Hope this helps.

LG split AC keeps displaying CO and wont't turn off with remote.

The "CO" indicates cleaning operation and can be switched of via remote button under flap, labelled AUTO CLEAN.

Open the front grill of the indoor unit. Check on right hand side for a forced operation switch. This switch is for selecting of either manual operation or remote or auto, select remote, then try. You can also press the reset button on the remote, under the cover with a pen. Hope this helps
