The output of the Dish Network box should be hooked to the input of the VCR.
The output of the VCR should be hooked to the input of the TV.
The VCR should be on channel 3 to record. Select channel to be recorded on the Dish Network box.

It sounds like you have Dish Network box output hooked to TV input.
& VCR output hooked to an aux. input on the TV.

I can't record a DVD from VCR. I tried hooking straight to front av jacks,no luck. I have dish network it's set on channel 25,video 1 on the tv. No problem recording from dish, just can't get it to record...

You need to select front AV as you video source on the DVD recorder if using the front AV phono connectors. Make sure the lead you use from the VCR is working y connecting the AV leads directly to your TV if possible.

Bought new samsung dvd/vcr. have an older admiral tv with just a cable hole. this is the second tv on a dish network, so this tv only has a cable, the box is in the living room. so how do I hook this...

The easiest way to make it work is to:
1- run your cable into your new VCR to CATV IN.

2-Your VCR should have come with a short length of cable. Connect it from the OUT jack to the TV.

3- Set the TV to either channel 3 or 4- you need to check the VCR manual to see which channel you have to use. Some VCR's have a small switch labeled "channel select"- if so, set it and your TV to the same channel... your choice.

4- Leave your TV on the channel you set above all the time. You will now change your channels using your VCR. You will be able to record whatever you are watching.

Connect dvd/vcr to HD-tv via dish network

Hey my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see where you want to run the SanyoDVW-6000 DVD/VCR Player to the DISH Network receiver. You can run the SanyoDVD/VCR directly to the TV and pick the channel you want to record and it willrecord the channel showing.

Dvr has been replaced once. still problems with recording program

thebeach1580,

With the Service Plan, which is $6 per month, it will reduce the technician visit from $95 to $15. From what you have described, your dish may need to be realigned.

Dish dvr 625 can't get dvd/vcr player to work with tv2..

if you have the coax hooked to the VCR in you will need to change the VCR channel to 22 and leave the TV itself tuned to 3 or 4.. I recommend setting the vcr to 60 or 73 to see if you can get reception on there as that is usually the two channels that TV2 is modulated on. You can check the modulation by going to TV1 and pressing menu-6-1-5 on the TV1 remote. Thanks for using Fix Ya. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

VCR tape playback not good

Check your "tracking" If the tape played fine in the old machine, then tracking is the answer, provided that the new machine records good.

Hooking up a tv

Hi first of all are you using scart leads to plug into each device here is how it should be set up ok
1. Scart lead from dish network into vcr
2. then other scart from vcr into tv
3. Now ti recieve the signal from the dish network you need to have the telly on the right av channel so that its picking up the signal from the vcr.
you can test this by changing the channel on the vcr controll or direct via buttons on vcr.
If the channels change then your on the right av channel.
Now when your on right channel on telly you need to now make sure dish network is on and on a channel or press the tv guide button just so you know what your looking for when the picture comes through.
You need to press av on the vcr controll this will then pick up the signal from the dish network via the scart lead as av is the channel for scart lead.
say if you was recording from dish net to vcr you would put the vcr on av to pick up the signal so press av on vcr controll this should then allow you to watch the dish network with no problems.
Let me know if you still cant and ill assist you further if it dont work tell me what you have done so i know how much you have done ok
