I have an Asus Notebook with Windows Vista (2GB memory) and problems installing the HP C5180. As soon as I install the HP Solution software the printer does not print anymore. The print request is send to the printer but gets stuck in the queue. If I install the C5180 via Vista only then I can print, but not scan or use any of the features that are accessed via HP Solutions. (This is all when having the printer installed in a network via router). The IP address is okay and I can access the printer via IP Adress and browser. ANy ideas are appreciated (calls to HP Helpline were without success)

windows 7 install software for any printer automatically i use hp 2100 and hp 1608 printers with windows 7 without installing their software if your os is not recognizing the printer than you need to download theupdated software compatible withwindows 7 of your printer
Assuming this is a Photosmart 7550 printer and not the 7550 Plotter, this is what you will need for connectivity. To connect printer to PC, you will need a standard USB A/B cable... one side is a male A connector and the other one a male B connector. As far as the drivers are concerned, you will not need to download any. Vista already has a compatible driver for your HP Photosmart 7550. HP recommends selecting the drivers for the Deskjet 5550 when installing your Photosmart 7550.
u have share your printer and add your printer in laptop u have to connect both pc in lan (local area connection ) or u can use the cross cable of lan when both pc connected then u have share your printer in xp then u have to add the printer in your vista laptop by using printer add visrd there is option on it u have to select the network printer & add it in to vista then u can print it

Go out to hp.com support and check under updates and downloads, you should find the updated software and drivers you need. I just went through this with my photosmart 8750,.
