Here are step by step instructions on how to set up your internet connection. Please note, the Nintendo Wii connects to the internet via wireless signal, so you must have some type of wireless router or wireless internet connection to connect to!

Internet through a Wireless Router 1. Turn on your Nintendo Wii by

controller to continue from the

hand corner of the main menu,

your modem or router to the

Hook the connector directly to
the PC as ports on the monitor

you go down to that circle button that says settings click settings click setup to wii internet it will load and go if it says err code try a another group then do the upgrade the upgrade is on the next page then you are on wii internet. good luck!

The Nintendo Wii is set up to accept wireless internet.

If your broadband is set up to a wireless router, the Wii can easily connect to the internet.

Connect a Nintendo Wii to the Internet through a Wireless Router

Ethernet

You need a wireless router to setup your wii for internet use. You will goto the wii menu and enter your routers settings.

-Check whether your wireless internet working fine, go to Internet channel and type in any URL and see whether you can browse internet
-Just in case someone change your internet setting at Wii, set it up properly again:

If you havea WiFi router that you use for internet then you can do this very easily by adding your WiFi settings to Wii in settings. This will also allow you to get Wii software updates and use the Store where you can download games etc.

Your friend will also have to have a WiFi router in his home with internet access and he'll also have to add those settings to the Wii.
