Vertcal Lines And out of Focus with Shaking picture. When I use the PIP, The right hand picture is good with no vertcal lines or shaking and focused. The left hand picture still has the problems.

    The problem is mainly with the Big Picture on the T.V. The omly clear picture is when I use the PIP As stated.....Still use the same remedy as you sent????

    Yes, the Hyper Moduel can cause alot of different problems.

Vertcal lines top and botom on sony kp-53xbr45

If the lines are color and look 3d it is a convergence problem- this set has in the menu a way to pull up the grid of lines for that---look ok or are colors skewed etc.

The other way to know is with a photo posted here or somewhere where I could see what it looks like.

Mitsubishi WD5725 DLP set. Picture is Ok before

The set has over 150 capacitors that could be causing the problem but it is at least 1 doing this. Contact Mitsubishi. Some people have been able to get new replacment TVs because of this problem

Vertcal IC needs resoldered and be sure to check all caps nearest this IC. And check any and all grounds on ICs with heatsinks, Large power resistors and flyback grounds.....You have the board out so you may as well check it thouroghly.

you may have hi voltaje block not grounded right or any loos connection from hig voltage transformer to focus block or hv block just be aware there are some 20 to 30 thousand volts

5 flashes is IK or current to cathode. check the IC's on the crt boards, check the focus block, check the vertcal deflection IC since the IK pulses come from the verticl cicuit.
