My Sports resort game will not read. When I load it the screen says game cannot be read refer to wii manual. Please help

Your disk may be scratched or dirty, make sure it is inserted the correct way. try inserting another wii game and see if it can read that.

You can try to clean your disk using this guide, but if its scratched then it wont help.

All you can do in this situation is try a lens cleaner. Unfortunately if the Wii is reading a disc part of the way and then failing later on, chances are the problem isn't a dirty lens and you Wii is going to need to be repaired. You are going to need to contact Nintendo to get it repaired. Their customer service number is 1-800-255-3700

I believe you have to play that game first before it will allow you to chose any other.
Simply play it all the way though, and you should get a menu from then on when you start the game.

From what you have said it sounds like you have the DISK DRIVE READ ERROR

The main cause is Hardware failure due to overheating or just simple wear & tear.

You will need to perform simple maintenance to your console

You can send your Wii to Nintendo to fix this. If your in warranty its free. If not the repair cost would be $150 and a wait time of 4-6 weeks

The other solution is what I did and the way more and more gamers are turning nowadays is a Good Wii Repair Guide that shows you how to fix the problem yourself. I have never had a problem with this one so far for over a year, well worth it. Its my most recommended guide online.

i thnk you just need to do a system update and that should rectify this.....it happened me too and this solved it

Make sure that the disk is clean. Any finger prints will prevent the disk from loading. Clean with a clean cotton cloth.

The Wii Sports Resort disc is either dirty or scratched. A disc cleaning procedure can be found on pg. 24 of the Wii Operations Manual: System Setup. If the Wii still doesn't read the disc, the Wii itself could be damaged. Turn the power OFF and unplug the AC adapter, then contact Nintendo Customer Service. (1-800-255-3700 in the USA and Canada)
