Most
likely the Thermostat is bad not bringing the unit back on; the
Thermostat is the temperature control knob located in the toe grille of
the unit.
Removing toe grille you will see a little box that houses the
t-stat. If you wanted to test to be sure just remove the 2 wires that
are connected to the thermostat and conncet them together to make sure
compressor and fans start up.

My root problem is that the wine coller isn't cooling aymore. The light works fine but I don't hear the compressor fan run anymore.
I suspected it may be a bad thermostat.
Hi ZJLimited, your soultion was correct! It is the thermostat - once I bypassed the t-stat, it ran fine. My only remining issue now is getting to the rear of the unit to remove the long wire (which is assume is a thermometer). Does it connect inside the cooler itself?
ZJLimited, I finally got some time to replace the thermostat; it's a bit of work to get to the end of the thremo behind the cooling plate inside the unit. But, it now works fine.
