SOURCE: water leaking between tank and bowl relaced seal

Make sure that you have replaced ALL of the seals in the bottom of the tank. There should be one donut for the pipe itself and the two or three rubbler washers for the bolts.

SOURCE: Water is leaking out of

Hi,
To figure out where the water is going...get some red cake food dye or coloring and place a few drops into the tank...
The red will leave a trail or the bowl will start to turn red...
It will not take long and you will know exactly where the water is going...

Brand new toilet leaking between the tank and bowl?

Please verify that the leak is coming from where the tank joins with the bowl first. More often water leaks from the float assembly, where it seals to the tank. If it is in fact leaking from where you stated. Did the toilet come assembled or did you attach the tank? You may want to exchange it or drain the water out, disassemble the two halves and inspect all three mating surfaces. Let me know if there is anything else. Good luck.

Re. Duravit Happy D toilet (tank No. 0929100005)

Remove and clean the flush valve and the flush valve seat(it is the flap that opens up to allow water to flush the toilet). Once the edges of the valve and the seat are cleaned, possibly with "0000" grit bulldog steel wool, it should not leak anymore. To make sure it is not leaking, once tank has refilled completely, put some food die in the tank. If, after 10-15 minutes, the water in the toilet bowl is colored, you have a leak from the flush valve. Replacing the flush valve is very easy - just bring the old one with you to the hardware/plumbing store and ask for a replacement. Blessings and good luck!!

Toilet leak

You have to remove the tank and replace the tank gasket and the tank to bowl bolts and gaskets as well, do not reuse them, they will leak again.

We bought an elongated smooth sided Jacuzzi toilet and it is leaking clean water from the back toward the wall

Could be a few issue. First check at the back where the tank sits on the bowl, reach underneath or look with a flashlight if you can to see between the tank and the bow, pay attention to the bolts in particular, if you see any water dripping down the bolts or between the tank and the bowl, the tank to bowl gasket ir bowl gasket bolts are leaking, and need to be replaced. Also look inside the bowl when its flushing, no water should be splashing up over the edge of the tank. Also inspect underneath the fill valve that gasket could also be leaking, or the supply line could be leaking.

I have a new American Standard Cadet 3 that was just installed. After flushing, the water fills into the bowl. However, after several minutes, the water in the bowl slowly drains away and is nearly gone....

Sorry for problem with new toilet.
You say water is leaking out of the bowl?

Toilets have 2 parts:
1) Tank: where water is stored for the flush and is sealed with a flapper.
2) Bowl: where water flushes down.

a) If tank is leaking water, then flapper is suspect. Replace flapper and see if that works.
Lift up flapper and run finger around rim to see if there is a rough spot that would indicate flush valve is defective, and needs replacement.
See typical flush valve

b) If bowl is leaking, that is very unusual and would indicate a crack in the porcelain.

If installer sold you the toilet, it is his responsibility to make good on product.
All products are guarantee against workmanship flaws.

Toilet bowl doesn't hold water but tank is full

The bowl is filled up with the little hose inside the tank, it locks inside of the overflow drain. And runs water in there as it flushes to swirl the water and fill the bowl. Water seeks it's own level, and the level in the bowl is at the top of the trap. It has to hold water, unless it isn't filling or it is leaking. Check out the filler and hope the bowl doesn't have a crack in it. Hope this helps.

Water leaks when flushed between tank and bowl.

You have a large rubber washer between the tank and the bowl that may need to be replaced. It is around 3 or 4 inches in dia.You have to take the tank off the bowl to replace it. You can get it at any hardware.
Hope this helps

Water leaks from tank to bowl till water level in the tank is jus

Yes. You will have to remove your tank from the bowl to replace the defective fill stack(the tube thing your flapper is attached to) it is not as hard as it seems.First remove water supply tube. Then remove the through the tank bolts. should be two of them. Lift off and turn tank upside down. remove spud gasket. Unscrew old stack. You should be able to get a universal kit to work with your tank and should come with all new parts including new flapper and spud gasket. You will need new through the tank bolts and note the sequence of assembly to get water tight seal on tank. Hope this helps

I have a leak around outside of the bowl which I suspect is due to a leak between the cistern and bowl/pan connection but can't figure out how to remove the cistern from the pan? There don't appear to be...

you should have two bolts going through the tank connecting the tank to the bowl , inbetween those bolts is the pipe that the water flows through from your tank to your bowl , this pipe has a gasket on it. if the bolts are loose on the tank it will cause that gasket to leak, you have to take the bolts off and get a new tank to bowl gasket, any plumbing supply place should have some for you , you will want to get new tank to bowl bolts ang gaskets for that aswell or you will have problems with those leaking too when you put it all back together!
