Where is it jamming?
In the feed tray, along the paper path, in the imaging unit or at the exit/finsiher?

The first thing is to be 100% SURE you are entering the paper settings correctly.

Hi,

Turn off the printer

Open the Rear Access Door,
Clean the rollers ( upwards ) with a lint free cloth ( little damped in water )
Close the Door

Open the Front access door, Check if there are any paper pieces stuck,
Remove the cartridges out and Install back.

Close the Door and turn on the printer.

It should work.

IBM 1332 printer error #241 Paper jam

Fixing a printer paper jam
When working with any printer it's inevitable that you'll encounter a paper jam. Below are the steps you'll want to follow when this occurs.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  3. Remove all paper trays and any paper that may be stuck between the tray and the printer. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  4. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  5. Turn the printer back on. If you continue to receive a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again. If issue still persist and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it's likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issues and we suggest contacting the printer manufacturer for additional assistance and/or repair.

* To manually remove paper pull on the paper with both hands being careful not to tear the paper while pulling it. If you're unable to get to an edge of the paper that allows you to pull it you may need to manually rotate the gears that feed the paper through the printer.

Preventing a printer paper jam
As mentioned earlier it is inevitable that you will encounter at least one paper jam during the life of your printer. However, if you're encountering frequent paper jams following the below steps can help prevent paper jams from occurring.

  • If your printer has a paper tray do not fill the tray to capacity. If you're encountering frequent paper jams reduce the amount of paper you place in the tray each time it is filled.
  • Make sure you or the tray feeding the paper into the printer is aligned properly and/or the slider used to hold the paper in place in the tray is snug with the paper. Many printers have sliders that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not properly positioned it can cause paper jams.
  • Use standard office paper; folded paper, paper with labels, and specialty paper such as hard bound paper can often cause paper jams. If you're uncertain with what type of paper you should use with your printer your printer documentation will list the types of paper compatible with your printer.
  • Do not mix the types of paper you're feeding into the printer at one time. If you need to change the type of paper or size of paper being used removed any other paper currently in the printer before inserting the new paper.
  • Examine the printer for any previous stuck paper in the printer. Previous paper jams, torn paper, printing labels or other foreign objects in the printer can cause reoccurring printer jams.

How do i fix a paper jam on my printer?

One of the more common problems with printers as it relates to paper jams, is that the paper stacked in the tray hasn't been fanned. What I mean is, it's like holding a paper-back book in your hand and skimming quickly through the pages with your thumb as your other hand holds it at the spine. Try this as a remedy if your printer jams often.

Hope this helps. :)

Only 8 1/2 by 14 paper jamming at the DADF

Does it feed sometimes, and just jams frequently, or every single page?
Are you sure the paper size in the tray is set correctly? Otherwise for frequent or constant jams when the paper simply stays in the tray, then the feed rollers are likely worn out.

Fixing film has been displaced e007

Having too much paper in the paper tray will cause your printer to have more frequent paper jams and double printing. Make sure you fill the paper to the fill line. I usually recommend going a little below line. I would also recommend that there is no paper from your previous jams still stuck in there. That will cause it to jam up as well.

Trouble with paper feed

Frequent jams are because either scanner picks up more than one paper or does not pickup at all. If scanner picks up more than one paper, then paper is sticky. If the paper is thin, it can pick up two at a time. Fan the papers so that they are not sticky.

Paper at the point of entry into the scanner must be crisp. If folded or 'dog-eared' trim it. Rotate the paper if any other side is crisp, roate the image later.

Clean all the rollers thoroughly, the pickup roller, retard roller and other rollers in the scanner. One can rotate the inner rollers and clean totally, not just waht is seeable area. If the rubber is worn out, it must be replaced. TRy a single page to check if the rubber is okay. Jarring noise is because the motor is 'stopped' and cant rotate because paper is stuck. This can affect motor/inner parts, but is designed for normal use.

Frequent paper jams.

Heavy cardstock and certain types of slick or coated paper can cause frequent paper jams. To better isolate the cause of your problem (machine or paper), try a new ream of regular 20 lb copy or laser paper.
  • Don't Overload
Overloading your paper tray can cause paper jams. Your manual may say that your input tray can hold 250 sheets -- but if you keep getting jams, try loading 225 sheets instead.
  • Check the Paper
Check the minimum/maximum paper weights that your printer can handle. Paper that is too thick, or too thin, can cause jams.
  • If you still get paper jams after this may be its time to clear the internal of the machine..You might want to have a look at the following link..
