Blinking Nintendo Hardware

I want to trade-in my old hardware for your new NEX version.

My concern is that my favorite game, Skyshark, will not play on the newer version.

Are my concerns unfounded?

The NEX is based on a clone chip and is buggy. In my opinion, I would hang on to the old NES.

The older games do not play 'natively' on the WII console, however Numerous games have been reworked so they can be downloaded to the WII and played on it. As far as what type of games have been converted they have done: NES, SNES, N64, NEOGEO, Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx 16 titles.

If you click on the link below, it will take you to the catalog of what games are available. Unfortunately, Skyshark is not listed there. That means unless they decide to rework the game, you will not be able to play it on the WII.

Could be a few things.1.) Have you ran a firmware update lately? If so, I'd suggest reverting to factory settings.2.) If you haven't updated, it sounds like it's internal. Could be faulty hardware (4 years is quite awhile). Contact nintendo.

Games won't load - any sites taking in units and selling rebuilt?

Your best bet is to get a new system, but go with either the FC Twin or Retro Duo systems - they play both NES and SNES games problem free (with very few exceptions).  I personally recommend the Retro Duo.

As far as trading in goes, can't help you there. But once you trade it in you can't go wrong with the RD.

Wii makes squeaking/chirping noise

This is a hardware failure. Sending it Nintendo is the only option. Unless you think you have the skills to repair it yourself. Here is the link to Nintendo

If you want to repair it yourself you need a wii dvd drive. Any version works.

Update

im sorry but you might have to be a bit more specific. I dont think u can update a ds game. and u cant connect it to the computer. the possible putcome i gathered from that is that he wants to play his game online and trade pokemon etc. meaning u need to connect the ds to your computer wirelessly using a
-nintendo wi-fi usb connector-( a usb drive u basically plug into ur computer and gives off internet for nintendo products) or a -wireless router or modem- ( the black box that the cables go through for internet).

When your grandson plays the game and wants to go online, (i will explain how to use this using directions in the game)
1. turn on the ds and load the game
2. watch the introduction movie (shiny pokemon)
3. on the main screen where you decide to either continue, new game, or -NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS-, go to nintendo wfc settings
4.tap the blue box labelled nintendo wi-fi connection settings
5.if ur using a Wi-fi usb tap connect to wifi usb or if using wireless internet tap a blank connection square
6. follow the prompts for the wifi usb and u will be connected to the internet
7. for wireless internet, tap search for an access point
8. when it has found the wireless internet tap O.K/connect/next etc and follow the prompts
9.when thats connected return to pokemon Diamond main screen then tap new game/continue to play
10. walk to the pokemon centre and go downstairs to battle online - or go into a house in
(Jublife city?) to trade pokemon online

WOAH!! that was a lot of writing!
hope i helped plz make a comment or something if u need my help again
