Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Needed Drivers For Aspire ES1-512 Laptop FOR WINDOWS 7 32 BIT

If Acer never made it compatible with windows 7 in the first place you are out of luck. They made it to work with 8, so they had no reason to support win7, therefore it doesnt and you should.... install 10! or 8.1

I'm trying to restore my laptop back to factory settings It's windows 7 the cd disk don't recovery disc don't work

Have you tried while in Windows, to use the Start Menu, find Acer on the All Programs list, and locate the recovery utility? I have an Acer laptop - an Aspire - and had to do exactly that. I used the built-in recovery routine on the Acer Laptop and was able to rebuild my laptop to the condition of when it just came out of the box, brand new.It will delete all your installations since you got it, applications and documents and photos, etc., will be gone, but your laptop will function as if brand new. Good luck with it. -a.

HI MY NAME MARK HECTOR I UNINSTALLED BY ACCIDENT A ACER PROGRAM ON MY PC THAT ALLOW MY DOWNLOADS TO HAVE A IMAGE OR PIC ON THE FILE EXSAMPLE ROCKY THE MOVIE WHERE IT WAS A IMAGE OF ROCKY ON THE FILE IT NOW...

Well Mark Hector, I think you are unable to view the image just because you have an incorrect or broken program associated with this extension. If you are sure, this is an image file (.bmp, .jpeg, .tiff, .gif, .png, etc.), to view this image file, right click on the file, select "Open With". Now a new window will appear showing the associated or most likely associated programs for this extension. Now select Windows Photo Viewer from the drop-down list and check the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" box and click on OK.
If this does not help you or you have any error solving this problem, please reply to this post for further solutions.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Mrityunjay.

Downloading photos

If you are using Windows XP unplug your camera from your PC and uninstall the Kodak software. You don't need it to transfer photos to your PC. The next time you connect your camera (turn the camera on) to your computer it should recognize it and you can use Windows built in transfer software. Details are here:http://www.organizepictures.com/2006/11/5-easy-steps-to-transfer-your-pictures-using-windows-xp-photo-wizard
