I have Hobart D300 mixer which operates at 220V, 3phase supply and whereas the facility has 208V, single phase supply. Is there any recommended phase converters available for this product. Thanks

Hi Bill
I may be wrong here......
But I've been around Electricity for a long time.
Have Never seen a device that does phase conversion.
A Building site or home will either have Three Phase or Single Phase Power Available
BUT...A portable (Hired) generator could be "three phase" and you could use any one of those phases individually or all three phases.

I have 3 Phase supply to my house!
But I use 230 volt Single Phase for appliances.
My Bore Pump uses a 3 Phase Motor,
(so with a voltmeter it would read about 440 vAC to the pump motor).
Some Further Info:
A GENERATOR is basically a motor used the opposite way. Rotate a motor and it Generates.
The Phases refer to the THREE Windings in the supplying generator in your suburb.
A Large Magnet passes each winding in sequence giving you the three ripples in the supply.
Our houses can choose to have 1 Phase or Three Phases from the street when you set up your electric supply.
So... to confirm, look at the wires on the supply poles to the premises. Usually three in our area (Oz)
Most people are not aware that a car Alternator is actually three phase. The Rotor is the magnet that rotates.
The only difference with an Alternator is that each "Phase" is connected to 2 Diodes (6 total) to convert the three phase to DC to charge the vehicle.
The Regulator controls the voltage to the Rotor, thereby controlling the output.
So.... An Alternator could in theory supply 3 Phase in a mobile generator. Custom Made. Constant speed would determine the frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz.
Not sure what country you are in

Hope this Helps or gives you food for thought!

Meat grinder does not work but it makes a humming sound

First check- is unit single phase? Check for bad capacitor(s).
- is unit three phase? Check for missing leg(s) or
bad wiring conections.
Next check motor windings and for shorts also if it is mechinal binding up.
If motor is good , check for problems in the drive train.

What is hobart h600, single phase or 3 phase?

Not sure if you are asking if an H600 is automatically a single phase or a 3 phase and the answer is NO. Depending on the motor it will be 1 phase or 3 phase application. It will have 4 wires versus 3 wires -- hope that makes sense 3 of the wires are "HOT" on a 3 phase and only 2 are "HOT" on a single phase Motor.

I needed to know the PH for a h600 11344142 Hobart mixer... And is it a single Or 3 face??

Hello Jbabajanov,

I understand that you want to know about the HP (Horse Power) of a H600, 60 quart mixer and weither it is a single or three phase.

All H600 Hobart mixers are equiped with a 2 horse power motor.

As to wether it is single or three phase you will need to look at the service tag of the machine. If is listed on it weather it is single or three phase.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

Only have two phase power power company refuses to install three phase can i run my hobart h600-t mixer serial#31-1068-582 ml# 104385 with just two phase?

first thing, there is no 2 phase pwr. there are only single phase or three phase.you have 2 choices either you can convert mixer from 3phase to 1phase which will be expensive, or you can get a rotophase which will make 1phase pwr to 3phase pwr to run mixer, dont go with static phase inverter, only the rotophase inverter

A-200 mixer brush carrier orientation.

Hi. I can't help you with your first question...But I can help with your brushes problem. Unplug the mixer With the two inspection plates removed at the commutator end loosen the two screws of the brush holder which are above and below the motor bearing cover, they're the only larger screws now visible. Note the markings on the brush holder on the bottom right side where you removed the inspection plate. Rotate the brush holder to the other mark. Set the brush holder screws. Plug in the power. and start the motor. It should now be turning in the proper direction, if not, make small adjustments by loosening the set screws, and moving the brushes until it starts to your satisfaction. Be sure that the set screws are tightened when you're done. If you need further assistance, post a clarification.

I have the same spec. mixer as you do.

If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. Good luck! ricardok45
