Oven control lock beeping along with F3:E4 flashing on the display

Hi-- The code described; F3 E4  indicates an open circuit- oven sensor.  As far as oven problems go this one is easy to fix. -------Unplug sensor and check resistance. Normal is around 1100ohms. ---If open, then replace with new part.  <This will solve the problem>.  You did not provide any other information besides 'beeping' and 'F3:E4'.  A simple Model # from the tag on unit is required for any service or information.  However, since this is a specific fault code, the oven temperature sensor is the most likely suspect. Please acknowledge this post. Solution is to replace the oven temperature sensor.  Thanks-  Ed

Hi jmhostetler9,

This F3 that keeps flashing on your oven is caused by a shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD). To fix this problem check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central. Display reads " -F3-

Replace the oven temperature sensor. Unplug the range. Open the oven. The temp sensor will be in the top right or left of the oven.A short metal piece about half the size of a pencil. Remove the screws, pull it out carefully. Disconnect the wire plug. Reverse this order to install the new sensor.

Microwave keeps beeping & has "f3" on screen

This will cost some money. its a total control fault. this means the control board is failing to initiate the commands. this is due to major micro board separation. the internal programming is ruined. it will have to be reprogrammed and a new board Will have to be installed. its best to purchase a new unit. this repair could run you into the 300 dollar range.

please rate and god bless..

F3 code

It's your oven temperature sensor. It's a thin metal stick that juts into the oven. It is located on the upper right back wall of the oven cavity. Flip your breaker, slide out the oven. You install it from the back, very simple, two screws, i think. I'm a beginner at DIY and had no problem fixing it.
