Dv 9000 does not recognize any wireless networks. At one time I could hook up nto all available networks including mine. It has Vista
Make sure ya have a VISTA compatible Driver for ya wifi ... go to manufactures web site and DL latest one for VISTA..
Remove and reinstall most up to date driver... then use ya connection program to set it up.
This is a known fault with the dv9000 series using Nvidia chipset - ref to
