You will need to auto re-tune the TV to pick up the stations again

How to do this is covered in your user manual. To access the auto tune facility you need to go to the main menu and usually then to set up.

Once you have started the tune facility the TV will automatically run through the spectrum and lock on to TV station signals. The process takes about 10 minutes or more to complete.

Do a re-tune to this TV. Refer its user manual for details. A re-tune will restore all the lost channels. Electro help

The main digital processor board has the fault. In rare occasions, a software update might make this right. Contact the nearest authorized service center for Philips. Check this link too.

If you wish to record (VHS) off cable :
First connect the co-ax cable from the wall to the input on the DVD/VHS , then connect a second from the output of the DVD/VHS to the input of the TV.
You will need to match the channel (3/4) output and input. There should be a switch on the back of the DVD/VHS.
Tune the TV to channel 3 or 4 to match, To watch DVD/VHS .
Channel selection will be with the DVD/VHS when it is powered on.
TV will tune to channel when the DVD/VHS is off.

It sounds like the controller is bad. Try unpluging the tv and restart after a couple minutes. What happens after you go from an HD product and switch to regular TV? There are codes to input via the remote to run diagnostics but I haven't had any luck as of yet. Could you check for a part on the back of your TV? Im looking for a part # for the metal part that screws into the back of the TV, that holds the tv on the stand. I have the stand but lost the bracket. Any help would be nice. Thank you, John

check the connections from your video to your tv, sounds like you have a loose wire,

If not re-tune your tv , it might have lost the tuning a bit , but its probably a loose connection
