To add:
1) Be sure to follow Anti-Static Precautions
Buy and wear an ESD wrist strap, and connect the alligator clip to a good ground source.
I connect to the metal frame of an empty desktop computer case.
The price range is around $3 to $6 for an ESD wrist strap.
2) Use a multi-compartment container for the various screws you will remove.
Mark each compartment for the area the screws came out of.
There may be as many as 60 screws and 12 different types.
DON'T mix them up.
You can use a clean egg carton in a pinch. Mark each egg holder.
3) Make notes and drawings as you disassemble, or use a camera or video.
Service Manuals do not tell you the little nuances of disassembling.
How to gently twist this a little, as you slide it over, kind of thing.
Also nice to have a record to refer back to in case you get interrupted.
Appreciate it Stan. If you have any further questions regarding the above, feel free to post them in a Comment.
