LF Error code: LF stands for long fill and occurs when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on. Make sure your water supply is turned all the way on and that you have good line pressure. If all that is ok, then I would replace the water valve on the machine.

Our dishes are not being cleaned well with residue left on plates and cutlery and the light next to the rise aid is on at the end of the wash

I have had the same problem a time or two. Make sure that you don't overload the dishwasher and nothing is blocking the spout where the water comes out. Also if you haven't done so already, you may want to add some detergent to the pre wash. Make sure you have enough detergent for the regular wash cycle also....Hottest water possible (at least 140 degrees F). If all that doesn't help, try cleaning them on heavy wash. Check to make sure the rinse aid level is still full. I have also found it easier if you rinse the dishes or cutlery off before putting them into the dishwasher.If none of the suggestions work I say changing your dishwashing detergent and/or rinse aid.Good Luck!

Washing machine displays an LF error code. Started last week during whitest whites cycle in rinse. I cancelled and just did rinse to finish my load. All other cycles worked and yesterday all started...

LF = Long Fill

LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change.
Is water supply connected and turned on?
Are hose screens plugged?
Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control.

We have a Hoover select 1500 washing machine. It still washes and rinses ok, but doesn't then move onto the spin cycle. But I can manually set the dial to spin and restart it. It then spins fine. I assume...

Could be but also could be rinse water valve not operating due to faulty solonoid. it does a final rinse / softner before spinning if valve faulty then no spin advance....
