My tv is kv-tg21l70 my sony (standby) indicator on TV flashes continuesly. no picture and not sound comes. when i press chanell change button sound of chennal comes but no picture. some times picture also comes but after some picture and sound goes and standby indicator start blinking.

If standby light on tv is not blinking that means tv needs power up command either by remote or power button on tv itself.
Press Program +/- button on tv front to turn On tv.

Check whether the issue occurs with all the external devices like DVD Player, VCR, etc. If the issue is occurring with all the devices then the issue is with the TV.
Try these steps to check whether the issue is resolved.
1.Disconnect the power cable and connect it to a different working wall outlet.
2. Disconnect surge protector if you are using any.
3.Power reset the TV by turning it OFF for atleast one minute.
3. Reset the TV to the Factory defaults.
To reset the TV, turn it ON.
Press the RESET button on the Remote and press the POWER button on the TV at the same time. Now, TV will turn OFF and then back ON automatically.
Now, proceed with the Auto Program.
Check whether the issue is resolved after the Auto Program is finished.

All Sony TVs have a self-diagnose mechanism where the Standby light blinks to indicate that there is an internal malfunction in it.

Note: Your TV does not have the replacable LAMP.

If the issue persists TV requires service. Contact nearest Sony authorized repair center,

The key here is the standby light flashing. It should be flashing in a repeated count of flashes with a pause inbetween. Count the blinks and report that number here. This is a diagnostic code indicating the circuit that is having a problem. Armed with that info, we should be able to give you an idea of the problem and its solution.

sound like the Hoz out put tran is short
and two regulators and one fuse res .01 ohm

its such a common failer that they sell a kit
with all the parts for about 12.00 -18.00

this problem is in the power supply.the red lights indicate as the standby mode.

Get the original Sony remote. Select TV or the Video input you want to use. Then press the Display button to make the text dissapear.
