I have A 951 XD. It has been upgraded to read XLcharts. I tried to buy charts but Navionicis does not make XL charts any more so I ordered L charts. Now my unit will not read or recognize the chart. What is up???? can anyone help me. I like this unit but looking at others as back ups.

The Olympus compatibility chart on their website says that your camera works with type M and M+ sizes 256MB - 512MB.
The chart also says 256MB - 512MB for type H and 16MB - 512MB for standard xD cards.
It looks like the largest size xD you can use of any type is 512MB.
The D560 is quite an early digital camera and it is not unusual to have card size limitations.

To initialize the new XD card, you go into the camera's setup menu and navigate to the format function. Format the card and you might be ready to go. If your new card has an "M" or an "H" preceeding the XD, your camera will need a firmware upgrade before it will recognize the card. FinePix 3800 can handle any xD Picture Card size.
Unfortunately the largest ones are only 2 Gb

Tested the xD 2Gb H & M+ on my own 3800 and both work great.

its non supportive to 1gb card as you will have to get the device upgraded to make it support 1gb.

I had the same problem and downloaded a firmware upgrade from the Fuji web site and it now works in the camera.

The maximum size for XD cards for this model of camera is 512mb.
The 1gig will simply not work.

If you camera takes XD cards - are youn sure that is the case?
The XD card is a standard size - it the camera os an XD type any XD card will go in the slot.

In order to use Type "M" xD cards, you need to upgrade the camera's firmware.
