When i first turn on tv sound is fine . then it will drop down in volume badly .

Many newer types of TVs have what's called "Volume Leveling", which means the TV automatically lowers the volume if a sudden increase in the broadcast signal volume is detected. Check to see If "Volume Leveling" is present on your TV and currently turned "on". Refer to your owners manual for this. It should be in the Audio section in the menu on your TV. Turn the "Volume Leveling" to the "off" position to disable "Volume Leveling".

I am not able to control the recording level on lower right screen. When I click on it nothing happens.

Maybe your laptop has buttons that control the level also, if so press them.

Most laptops have keystrokes that control the volume level. Normally you will have to Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower right portion of your screen and the corresponding key that takes the volume up. Normally the correct key will show the icon of a megaphone with the )))) volume signal.

More importantly make sure you have the Recording checked in the Audio Sound Properties.

Buttkicker Gamer 2 Amplifier won't turn on, light stays orange when it should be green. used to be a struggle sometimes to get it to turn green by using the remote, now it just stays orange all the...

Your Gamer 2 Amp turns on whenever an audio signal is present on the input. The amp can have trouble tuning on if the output of the source (computer sound card, etc.) has been turned down. This can happen easily if you use amplified speakers - if you turn the sound card's volume control down - and then increase the volume at the amplified speaker - the resulting sound is the same; even though the signal has been lowered. The problem is that the output from the sound card isn't sufficient to turn on the Gamer 2 Amp.

Try turning down the external speaker volume, then bump up the sound card volume. You'll probably need to adjust the other inputs individually (Wave, Mic, CD, etc) so that none is too loud or soft. Once the input values have been set, gradually increase the output of the sound card in the control panel application etc. while decreasing the volume on the amplified speaker to maintain a comfortable level. Eventually, you'll find the correct volume level on the sound card output that will wake up the Gamer 2 Amp.

If you're still having trouble, review the manual, here. I hope this helps & good luck!

I install a gear head web cam but the other person cannot hear me

You do not say what your OS is, if your computer is laptop or desktop or what program you want to chat in

Set up Audio

Laptop x webcam/mic x Vista x Yahoo Messenger

If you have an earlier OS, you may have to access your hardware from the Control Panel.

TEST SPEAKERS
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard

SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC
Click "Recording" tab.
To set required mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click OK
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays
Restart computer
CONFIGURE TO MESSENGER

Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'no proxies' or 'connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes > Apply > OK

Click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Calling and Audio
Set mic and speakers to show Default equipment
Run call up assistant to test audio equipment > Apply > OK

Other chat programs are less intensive for audio set up - Skype and MSN can be navigated via the 'Tools' option on the toolbar.
