My husband accidentally touched the remote (universal) in some weird way, and now suddenly we only get about 20 channels instead of the 50 or so our cable package includes. We plugged in a different TV -- channels are all there. So it's not the cable. Is there a way to reset this TV to its original settings, even if we don't know what's gone wrong??? It's so weird. The few channels we do get are crowded into the first 20 channel numbers and all jumbled up (not on their usual numbers). The universal remote we are using, in case it matters, is called "One For All". I rest the remote to the factory specs and then re-assigned it to Sharp, but that didn't change the situation. Help. Thanks.
I lost the manual to this set, but last night I found the Menu button on the remote. I pressed it and then clicked SetUp. There was an option for Quick SetUp of Cable/Satellite. I clicked that and it was then able to find all my cable channels again. I still do not know how we messed it up by bumping the remote -- especially when it was turned 90 degrees away from the screen -- but this has restored it. Thanks.
