Here is the long answer with everything we learned while using a power washer twice a day for years:: You have already checked off some of the items, but it doesn't hurt to review

It sounds like could be one of the problems listed below or a combination of those things.
1) The exhaust is partially blocked. Check the screen covering exhaust port for carbon and dirt build-up. High-speed exhaust air must pass freely. We finally broke the exhaust screen out with a screwdriver to get our machine going one day.
2) Gas is not flowing freely to carburetor > under gas tank, find the rubber hose connected to carburetor. Pull off rubber hose and make sure gas flows freely. You can use this hose to drain gas tank of old gas ... and then put in fresh gas.
3) Carburetor is partially gummed up and engine cuts off when gas flow slows down. Buy some gum out, and then don't store power washer with gasoline in the tank. Or put additive in gas when storing machine.
4) The choke is letting in too much gas or not enough gas. Try different adjustments. The choke-lever on our power washer got so bad that we could not set throttle at full open or the machine would die. We still use the machine at 2/3 throttle, and then start it each time using WD-40 as described below.
5) Dirty air filter that won't let engine breath enough air to keep up with combustion. Take off air filter and see if problem persists.
6) The spark coil is going bad?? Change spark plug to see if problem persists. Is spark plug wire pushed all the way onto the spark plug?

Now the nitty gritty: we're gonna start that thing right now
7) Take off air filter. Spray WD-40 directly into carburetor. Yes, we use WD-40 every time to start my power washer, and we use the washer twice a week.
Spray in the WD-40, Pull the engine cord. The engine will fire on WD-40. Guaranteed.
Once it starts, keep spraying WD-40 directly into carburetor to keep engine going.
If engine will not fire and keep going on WD-40, then your spark is suspect.
If your engine fires and runs on WD-40 but dies without it, then your gas supply or carburetor are suspect
8) Carburetor problem >>> try Gum out >>> and then take machine to small engine repair shop
9) Spark ... take out spark plug. Put spark wire back on. Hold spark plug by spark wire. Touch metal threads of spark plug to metal opening where plug came out. Metal to metal. Pull back start cord and look for spark between the metal.
If you have no spark, then spark coil is bad >>> take machine to small engine repair shop

Briggs&stratton 19.5hp - starts for few seconds then dies

Could some debris in the tank, fuel filter may need changed, If it has a fuel pump it could be weak or worn out, Check for fuel and vacuum line cracks, This would cause it to suck air instead of fuel.

How do I start a weedeater fb25?

Press primer bulb 6 times
Move throttle lever to start position
Move choke lever to full choke position
Pull starter rope sharply until engine attempts to start, but no more than 5 pulls.
Move choke lever to half choke position. Pull starter rope sharply engine runs. If engine hasn't started after 5 pulls, repeat all steps above.
After warming up for 10 seconds, move choke lever to run position.

It will start on full choke and run for about 5 seconds and shuts off. I changed oil because it was black. It did same thing a year ago and shop said the fuel line was blocked? I ran it for about 25...

first if its a honda,is it a gas/oil mix as the gas/oil mix plugs up quicker than a 4 cycle engine ?even 4 cycle engines that get bad gas i.e. water in the gas will plug up the carburator from rust, white rust(from water minerals) corrosion, dirt, etc.,when its running and just as it dies out, pull out the choke and see if it picks back up in r.p.m.'s,if it does, then you know its lacking fuel from starvation from plugged fuel lines/carb to keep running, then you need to re-build the carburator or you could first try a can of carb cleaner while its running down into the carburators intake, but this is a tell-tale sign of a bad/dirty carb, try this, with a small wrench, pull off the carburarors "sediment bowl" located just ubder the carbs body and carefully unscrew the brass nut and remove this bowl(careful to NOT lose the gasket) and see how moch water/dirt,etc., is in the bowl if theres water it will look like droplets in the gas in there,if you have this contamination you need to clean out both the gas tank and carburator and all fuel lines leading to and from these to the engine

Honda GX390 engine on Citation pressure washer: less than 50 hrs on pressure washer worked fine last year and was winterized all start settings correct; had to use starter fluid to start this year and...

Did winterising the engine include pouring lots of oil into the intake of the running engine until it choked and died? That is the classic method of winterising...

Heavy blue smoke is burning oil.

I expect the spark plug fouled in those few seconds. After winterising the spark plug usually needs cleaning several times before there is a reliable start and continued running.
