Hi, if your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

How can I stop the lights from flashing mid cycle and make the machine continue its cycle to the end and drain?

first you need to take off the drain hose that allows the water to pump out and check to see if it is blocked at the part that it connects to from the machine , you could try to blow back the water but if its blocked i doubt it , after you remove the hosing inspect the inside of where it fitted onto , with the cord unplugged from the wall you might be able to use a bit of wire with a tiny hook bent onto it and pull out any blockages . also make sure the water pump is engaging when it goes into the pump cycle .

MY FRIGIDAIR LTF2140FS1 FRONT LOAD WASHER DID NOT DRAIN AND THE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK TO TRY THE SPIN/DRAIN CYCLE

Hi Bob, thank you for your post! I understand that your door will not lock and your washer will not drain. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the washer will start. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

I have a two-year old Frigidaire GLTF2940FSO front loader washer that has stopped in the middle of a load leaving water in the drum and will produce a buzzing sound no matter what cycle you put it on. We...

did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in to see if you can get it to reset? Would it buzz when you try to drain it? Does the door latch lock when it goes into the wash cycle? Usually the door latch locks when it goes into the wash cycle and stays locked. So it filled up, the door latch should lock, then should go into wash cycle. Then you said few minutes later it stops. How did you get the door open? reason i ask is Usually i would see the clothes get stuck inside the washer because the door latch is still locked when it stops. Was the door unlocked when it stoped. If so maybe something going on with the communication from the board to the door latch maybe. Did you try operatin the drain?

I have a Frigidaire built in dishwasher that won't start. There is a light on by the 3 second lock button

Your dishwasher is in the lock mode. If you press the button on the dishwasher that has the lock for maybe 5 seconds , the light will go off. Then put the dishwasher in a wash cycle (normal) and your dishwasher should start up working. Make sure the door is all the way closed. Hear the click of the door when it shuts. After about 90 seconds it should have water in it, press the start/cancel button 2 times and the water drains out.

Clean light flashes constanly. Won't clear out to start new cycle

If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).
