Hi. I bought HTC Desire HD from Softbank-Japan. Right now I am in India and wants to unlock the phone, on internet everybody is asking to buy SIM unlock code and enter it after inserting other operator SIM card. In my case the problem is that after inserting the another SIM card there is no screen prompt to enter the unlock code instead Emergency Call screen is only displayed. There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

    Thanks for the feedback.. but it is neither related to signal or balance.
    Also I am willing to buy the SIM unlock code, but first I need to how can I force my phone to prompt the screen where I can enter the code.
