Our Phillips 47PFL5432D/37 LCD HD TV is having a flickering problem. Looking inside the back, if I disconnect the 2-wire connector that goes from the SLAVE board to the LCD display, the flickering stops. Sometimes I can reconnect the wire and it won't flicker; however, even when it's not flickering, the display on the left side of the screen (same side the SLAVE board is on) is dimer then the right side (where the MASTER board is located). Help

it was the inverter boards on each side of the screen not the lights.
search ebay for used ones both of mine were 60 bucks works perfect now

reason it is flickering and one side of the screen is dim is cause one of the inverter boards has a problem so the auto light sensor can't work properly when sensing room light

Is tv an HD tv model# 32pt6441/37 phillips

Unfortunately, even though it has Component connectors, it is not an HD TV. As far as the digital conversion goes, you would need either a digital cable or satellite box, or a digital converter box. It does not have a built-in digital tuner.

Blinking light on 37" Dynex LCD

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

No sound on the hd setting on my lcd phillips hd tv

look in the owners manual about installing devices or components--- sounds like you have something hooked up wrong that is not allowing the video and sound to work--- if that doesnt work--- try using a combination device and hooking the two items to it--then run that device's wires to the television

TV will not Power Up / Blinking Green Light on Power Button

May be the same problem Magnavox is having with their 27MF231d. I found the fix on this site and it took care of the same problem with my set. Not the easiest thing to do, but it worked. If you do not know how to solder, get some help with this one. If you take it to a Magnavox Authorized repair location, they will just replace the bad capacitor with another bad capacitor of the same type and voltage. The problem is they have a 25w capacitor where a 35w capacitor should be. Mine was bulging, with black tar looking stuff coming out of it. It was obviously bad. Follw the instructions below.

1. Remove all screws around perimeter, one screw at the lower right at (Side A/V), and 2 1”round plastic knob s.
2. Remove back cover
3. At lower left side remove 2 screws for On/Off switch cut tie wrap that holds wire down for free movement.
4. Disconnect wire connector to side A/V at lower right side
5. Disconnect wire connector to right side circuit Board
6. Disconnect wire connector to left side circuit board
7. Remove the 2 mounting brackets upper left and upper right 2 screws each.
8. Remove 3 screws each side of the metal box in the middle
9. Fold back metal tape off bottom and top of metal box
10. 1 wire connector at top of box I left connected
11. Flip metal box over towards top of Tv. Be careful of wire at top thats still connected.
12. On left side in box is power supply board
13. Towards bottom of board you should see the numbers C2081 and C2074
14. Remove the six screws holding down power supply board
15. Flip board down towards bottom of Tv.
16. Unsolder capacitors replace with new 1200uf 35v and 2200uf 35v 105°C radial capacitors
17. Capacitors should be around 1/2” to 5/8” dia. X 1.25 long appox. 2 Wires come out of one end should be .030 dia.
18. Reassemble in reverse order and enjoy
