Tungsten e2 wi fi card

I have done synch and download drivers but when i connect to handheld to install wifi ask for user name but nothin is in field but select, i have name the palm my name I'm trying to connect my E2 with my GSM phone with Bluetooth. I want to access the internet on the Palm through the internet on my phone. Is this possible? I'm told if I can pair the two devices (which I have) then I should be able to use the phone as a modem. But the E2 tries to connect but then times out. Anyone know how to make this happen? I'm trying to avoid purchasing a Treo or any other combo device.

Does you phone have data services enable to use your cell phone as a modem?

Wi Fi isn't needed to do it all you need to is pair the devices and follow the bluetooth setup wizard to select your cell phone provider.

Make sure your phone can do this.

Palm tungsten E2

As the previous responder said, the Tungsten E2 cannot read cards over 1 GB. However, there is a wonderful solution available at PalmPowerups.com called PowerSDHC. This wonderful little driver will enable the E2 to read cards of any size! At $20.95, it's a bargain. I installed it on my E2 and now I use an 8 GB SDHC chip!

Wi=Fi connection

Hello
First question is do you have a wireless router connected to your internet, and if yes, you may need to tell your router to broadcast your ssid. Instructions differ on how to do this so check the manual for the router. Hope this helps.

Outlook calendar will not synch to handheld

Here are two resource pages which hopefully will help. The first is Palm support page with an update to download for users of Outlook 2003. The second is a discussion thread of Treo users troubleshooting the same problem. Even if the PDA is different, the issue (and error code) is practically the same, Rather than cut and paste what I think is relevant, read the thread and see if one of the solutions listed helps you.

PS - What PDA, operating systems (PC and PDA) and version of Outlook are you using?

Palm Tungsten t5 WiFi

I suspect that you're in fact holding a Palm TX and not a T5 as the T5 does not have WiFi. If you're using the Palm SD WiFi adaptor, do a hard reset without the card.

(hold down the ON/OFF button whilst using the reset pin to press the reset button. You'll be asked if you are sure you wish to reset. You'll then be prompted to choose the language caliberate the screen etc..)

After that. Go and download all the updates and drivers from Palm Web site.

Wi-fi

try a ping test from your router(should be under a status tab or something) and if that works then go to the prefrences, wifi, info(conect first!) edit network, details, advanced then enter a custom ip ie 192.168.0.2 just copy the first 3 sections of the ip address of your router and add a number greater than 1 after and enter your routers ip address for the dns server.
