I just got this at my local Wal-Mart 5 months ago and just yesterday after cooking something in it, after closing the door, it sounds like it's still running! I unplugged it and tried again, but when the door is shut, the motor starts running, but the carousel isn't turning. It still works and everything, but we have to keep the door ajar to keep that from happening.
Any suggestions?
It should have a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
I'd call Emerson at 1-800-695-0098 to find your nearest authorized service center to have it fixed free.
It's probably a bad door switch or door switch mount.

My microwave keeps blowing fuses, its 4 months old, i think its capacitor, because i forgot to plug it in and it worked fine but did not heat, so once i plugged back in it blew fuse again,

emersn mw8119sb 1000w microwave. Acts like its running with the light on and the carousel turns when you close the door. It will not heat anything however. I've had it about 5-6 months.
