Corel draw 8 is not save as pdf?

It's been so long since I've udes CD8 but I would say it won't support exporting pdf. If I don't remember wrong I exported file as postscript file (*.ps) and then used Adobe Distiller to create pdf-files. But there might have been a trick or a two to notice for correct output :)

Cannot save PDF Files

There could be several reasons why you're unable to save a PDF file in PDF or DOC format. Some possible causes include:
  • The file is open in another program: Make sure the PDF file is not open in another program and try saving it again.
  • The file is locked or protected: Some PDF files may be locked or protected, which can prevent them from being edited or saved.
  • The file is corrupted: Sometimes files can become corrupted, which can prevent them from being saved. Try opening the file in a different PDF viewer, and if it opens without issue, then the problem might be with the viewer you were using.
  • Insufficient permissions: Make sure that you have permission to save the file in the location where you are trying to save it.
  • The drive or folder where you're trying to save the file is full: Make sure the drive or folder where you're trying to save the file has enough free space.
  • Problem with the software: It could be a problem with the software you're using to open and save the file. Try using a different PDF viewer or word processing software to open and save the file.
It's difficult to say exactly what the problem is without more information, but by checking these possible causes, you may be able to identify and fix the issue.

When I finish a newsletter on Printmaster Platinum 18.1, I want to save it as a pdf file and when I click on that it says "cannot print file". I don't want to print; I want to save it so I...

When you print to a PDF file, it does not actually print the file, it prints TO A file. You then will be presented a save file as screen and you should select you location for saving files, give it a name and save it. It then is a PDF. If you click on it, it will open in PDF reader. That is how a PDF works.

I first scanned all the docs into the picture gallery. My professor needs them all in pdf format. How? I've got an HP Pavilion laptop. My professor's waiting for me to call her tonight when...

PDF format means legal form which is handled in Adobe Acrobat. You said you scanned your docs into the picture gallery, and I am hoping that you left them in the default format that your scanner uses instead of changing them to a picture format (like JPEG, or TIFF) or this may be too complicated to assist via email.

If you do not have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat & Adobe Reader, do a search on the internet and download then install them. They are free. Once the programs are installed, open Adobe Acrobat and click on "file" at the top left side of the screen and try and open one of the documents you saved in the picture gallery in the acrobate program. If they are compatible, all you have to do is rename and save the document in Adobe. To save it, after you have opened it in Adobe - click on file and then "save a copy" or "save as" and choose whatever the documents name is and .pdf at the end (save to a pdf format) and then you are done.

If the file format of the documents are not compatible and will not open and easily save in PDF format using the Acrobat, then I would suggest asking your teacher for an extension.

Good luck!

I want to change my pmd file into word file please help me

Go to the Adobe website, Click Here and download Acrobat Distiller and Adobe PostScript. These add-ons are necessary to convert PMD files to PDF files. Follow the onscreen instructions to install them on your computer.

Open Adobe Page Maker from your program menu, which can be accessed by clicking the start button on the bottom left-hand side of your screen.
Click on "File" and "Open" in Adobe Page Maker. Navigate to the PMD file that you want to convert. Double-click the file to open it.

Click on "File" in your PMD document. Click on "Export" and choose "PDF." This will open a new window. Page maker will give you the option to choose between "print" or "onscreen" PDF. Choose onscreen if you just want to share your PDF over the Internet. If you want to print it out, choose print. The latter option generates a larger file which will take up more space on your computer.

Select settings for your file. For example, you can select "security settings," "Doc info" or "Hyperlinks." Each option will give you various settings from which to choose. Once finished, click on "Export." Choose the location where you want your document to be saved. Click on "Save."

I hope that this assisted you, thanks for using FixYa! John

How i can see the qxd extension file

this is Quark Express file. So to view this file, you can use it.

You can download a trial version here--http://8.quark.com/evaluation.html

You can create a PDF file from a Quark document using Acrobat. The desktop version of Acrobat comes with Acrobat Distiller which can convert the Quark file to PDF.

According to the Adobe Create PDF Online web site (http://createpdf.adobe.com/index.pl), native Quark (qxd) files do not appear to be supported for online conversion. However, the service does support PostScript (.ps) files. If you can save your Quark file as a PostScript file, then you can use the Create PDF Online service.

Hope this helps.
