So you can hear the air blower turn on however there are no little bubbles coming out of the air injectors... I would have you verify that the blower is blowing air out. Either the hose has come off and it is blowing air under the tub or the fan has disengaged itself from the motor and is not turning. I will ask you to verify that one of those two things has happened or possibly the check valve in your system is closed and will not open.
yes. the air button sends a column of air down a small tube attached to the bottom of the button and the other end of the tubing is attached to the air switch in the motor. Once you push the button, if you get a good column of air it activates the air switch in the motor and turns it on. Push it again and it turns the pump off. If the air button bellows, located inside the button, has a hole in it then you will not get enough air pushed to the air switch to activate it. The same thing happens when trying to turn the motor off. first thing to check is the air switch in the motor. Pull the pump and plug it into an electric outlet. take a straw and press it on the air switch then give a good blow into the pump. If the pump comes on then the the air button on the top of the tub is bad. If the pump will not come on then the air switch in the motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
sounds like it may be either the air button or the air switch (on motor). pull the pump and plug into an outlet. take a straw and blow into the air switch where the air tubing was connected. If the pump comes on then you know the button. If the pump doesn't come on then you will need to replace the air switch on the back of the motor.
you have a bad motor - when a motor overheats there is a sensor inside the motor that will shut if down so as to not damage the windings and such.
once your tub has cooled down for 10 mins or so it will turn back on.
the fact that you can push the button multiple times just means that you are turning the air switch on the back of the motor on/off until you get to the point where the motor has cooled down and will turn back on.
if you do not push the air button after the tub shuts down and you finish your bath then when the pump cools down it will come back on because the air switch in the motor is latching i.e. it is either on or off. Since you left it in the on position the motor will come back on once the motor has cooled down.
look on the back of the motor there should be a shaft that you can try to turn to spin free because something inside the pump is blocking it. rate me if this is helpful.
HI
I know this stinks but if the ents to the motor are clean you need your motor rebuilt. There are probably many people in your area who can do this look in yellow pages for electric motor rebuilding, alternator, starter
Each Jet will have an adjustment many times right on the jet nozzle. Carefully try to rotate them counter clockwise to open up the jet. This assumes you can here the motor running.
