Hello, I replaced the seats and springs in my faucet Delta Leland 2578 and now my water pressure is low. So I thought it was the stem unit assembly because it had a lot of deposits on it so I replaced them. Still low water pressure. The weird thing is the water pressure was fine before I replaced the seats and springs (which was to fix the leaky faucet). Help.... By the way I thought of aerator but can't get it off so I've soaked it and cleaned with toothbrush . Still low water pressure. Any suggestions. Thanks

The cold water on my Delta double hand faucet is leaking. I replaced the spring and rubber seat. when I put it back together, i can not turn the water off with the handle. I took the stem assembly out...

I believe they go in one way ,, but I've seen some that are 180 degrees out, which would make it so the water won't shut off, also with delta and moen,, add some plumbers grease to the o rings and faucet washers, so they don't stick when replacing,

I have had my Delta bathroom faucet about four years. The hot water side drips. Can not get it to stop. It is one faucet with hot and cold handles with all sitting on a small platforum. The platforum is...

Go to delta website, take a picture of faucet with your cell phone and send. They should be able to identify and send you the parts. Meanwhile you'll have to turn water on and off from the emergency shut off valve under the sink. If it looks like the picture, it's probably the rubber seat and spring. If you don't want to wait go to your local "hardware" store. There may be someone there to help you. Bring the stem or cartridge, along with the rubber seat and spring. Don't use cold water while stem is removed. Turn cold off as well to prevent a mishap.

My Delta 2578-278 faucet is leaking, when it is completely shut off. What is part is most likely the problem ? Thanks Joe

Check outside water pressure to house. Should be 65 - 75 PSI. If good most likely the cartridge. Older faucet, do both sides to prevent future problems. Blade handles? Make sure you get Hot & Cold stems, they turn the opposite way with blade handles. Some cartridges are universal and can be adjusted to work either way. After removing the stem, check with a flashlight in the valve, delta has rubber seats and springs on many of their models. If so, replacement of the rubber seats may do the trick.

Many of these problems develop from poor maintenance on water heaters and high pressure. Water heaters, regulators, safety valves, supply lines, and emergency shut off valves at fixtures should be checked, cleaned and adjusted on an annual basis. Your local expert plumbing contractor should be able to assist you on that.

Installed new delta leland 978 kitchen faucet. Water pressure from faucet is low. Cleaned screen and there was no change.Could there be a clog some where else in faucet system?

check the angle stop under sink as sometimes the washer gets lodged in the orifice to stop..make sure water is off to house before removing handle to stop...check the hose...then the stem and seat to faucet itself.

I have 5 of these faucets in my home that was built only 2 years ago. All of these faucets leak from the spout. I have replaced cartridges and they still leak.

Did you replace the seats and springs under the cartridges, Delta part number RP4993. These are the more important parts to replace when your Delta faucet is dripping from the spout.

Delta single lever faucet leakingafter bing shut off.

Will need to get delta faucet rebuild kit. Available at home depot, lowes or hardware store. It consists of valve stem seals & springs. The larger kit will contain ball assembly. Turn off water to faucet. Unscrew handle via set screw under plastic cap. Unthread cap over ball assembly. Pry out valve seals & springs. Reverse procedure to install.

Where does the rubber cup with the hole in it and the spring fit?

They go in the bottom of the stem on most two handle faucet's, Remove stem and replace spring and seat onto it.
