Hi i have a s90 that is calced, i am trying to descale it but the button i am supose to use makes two quick noises and does nothing else. I thought the machine may have gotten too warm so i left it 5 hours and tried again onlynto have the same thing happen. If you could let me know that would be great.

That means you are still in the middle of the descaling cycle. You have to finish it first. You will not be able to do anything else until you finish the descaling cycle. Make sure the Desaling Coupling is still fitted to the Milk Jug Fitting (look on the manual Descaling instructions step 6). Jump to step 15, Rinse the water tank and fill it with exactly 500ml. Using excess water during this step may cause an error so try to make sure it is very close to or exact 500ml. Place a container under the coffee dispensing spout and the milk jug without cover under descaling coupling. Now press the Dubble Espresso button. The water will run, it is important to wait until the water runs until the tank is empty and it will stop by itself. Don't panic when there is no water coming out and it makes a little noise and don't press any button. Wait until it stops by itself. Then follow from step 19 to the end.
Yes I can under stand this you have done descaleing but you have not done descaleing in the proper way very thing has its sequence let take dolce gusto by pressing for few seconds the power button it will blink in green this means that the machine is now indescaleing mode when you're done you simply press the power of in this case you have told the machine that you want to do descaleing and after this the internal computer is reset to normal this is why you machine is still blinking because it had not been reset
Perform a full descale. Take out the water reservoir and remove the Anti-calc filter. Put in 500ml (1 pint) water with 3-4 tablespoons of white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar). Put the water canister back in, the turn on the machine and press the manual button. Allow half of the liquid to go through, then stop. Leave the machine for about ten minutes, and then run the rest through. Empty the water reservoir and rinse, put back the Anti-Calc filter, put in another 500ml and press the manual button to flush it all through.
push it for 5 second and if its still flashing doesn't matter turn the steam knob anti-clockwise end let the machine do to the descaling cyrcle, when then water tank emptied the rest of buttons starts to flashing, turn the knob off and your machine is ready!!
Don't run the clean operation. Just put white vinegar/ water, half and half and run as if making coffee. Let it cool and run through about 3 times and this will remove all scaling/buildup.The rune through plain water.

You've done it all correct but before you add the solution (making sure to remove the filter), try holding the descale button down for over three seconds. As long as the FILTER NO is your filter setting, this should work. You may want to try to descale more often in the future but hopefully this helps you get started NOW. Best of luck!
The iron steam lines may be clogged with limescale.
Try first using descaling solution to clean the lines.
Do descaling several times.
If that does not work, then the thermostat may have started malfunctioning and cutting off earlier than normal. This will cause water not getting enough temperature, and iron not steaming.
Try using a descaler product, often that can fix the problem.
