I have converted my new frigidaire gas range to propane with the proper kit and all works well except the oven burner. The flame comes into the oven through the baffle holes about to the level of the lowest rack level. The instructions say to adjust the flame by opening or reducing the air shutter and this seems to make no difference. Is there supposed to be a conversion for the oven orifice also?

What you do is tighten down the spud on the oven safety valve. I have converted my new frigidaire gas range to - themobilian_221.jpg
Get a good wrench and in the case of propane or LP you tighten down clockwise on that spud. Then open the air shutter all the way.

Then I tweak it by opening it a hair till the flame just gets about halfway up the flame spreader, any more than that and the food will burn on bottom any less and it will take an hour to blind bake a pie shell.

I went back carefully over the conversion directions and that is the one thing I overlooked. The photo was done poorly and didn't really highlight the oven burner spud but showed the broiler spud quite clearly. Turned it down, opened the air shutter all the way and it works great.

Checked my email after I was done and you posted the answer. Good photo also. Anyone who reads this before changing theirs to LP gas, I would recommend turning this down while you are converting the regulator. It's right there (at least on this model anyway).

    Thanks again

TheMobilians explanation and Youtube posting were very helpful. These all-in-one instructions have gone cheap on specifics. Mine in no way showed where the spuds for the stove burners were located. The Yuotube posting stopped me from bringing my old stove back into the house.Thank you. DonAhj.

Frigidaire model ffgf3012tw im converting to propane but the instructions dont say anything about the changing the orvis in the oven and the kit cam with just 4 orvis for the stove burners.

the method when converting gasses is to use different jet sizes required for the new gas in use
it also means that the air shrouds have to be adjusted to maintain the correct burn ratio and get a blue or colorless flame and a possible adjustment or the pressure regulator
Gas is NOT in the domain of the DIY and only a qualified accredited gas fitter should be doing the job

I have a Frigidaire Stove, Model # FGF316ASA. It was changed from propane to natural gas. The oven works well. The burners, however, will only burn a low flame. Is there a solution for this?

When converting an appliance from propane gas to natural sometimes a technician will drill the orifice to a larger size rather than replace the orifices. Either way is fine, but sometimes the orifices don't get drilled to the correct size. The regulator must be on the propane setting if it is a convertible regulator. If your oven is working fine.... the top burner orifices probably need to be checked that they are the correct size. A simple fix.

The oven flame comes into the oven around the oven bake cover and all burners and broiler have a perfect flame. this is a brand new oven

Are you on natural gas or propane? If you are on propane did you have it converted form natural gas. Due to the difference in orface size you will be getting more gas flow then needed. If it was converted you need to contact the store and advise them it has a possible gas valve problem.
