I HAVE RICCAR 510 I bought it over 30 years ago. I lost the manual that tells how to embrodery etc i think i have all th e attactment but i dont know how to use them how can i get a manual?

we are no longer allowed to use Crystal Balls, Tea leaves, fortune telling cards, magic looking glasses, brews and spells, etc, to figure out: what make and model of your machine?

I would check out Ebay for this

look for the sewing machine manuals and look up the model number

Have a look at a few to see if any are similar to your machine. There are quite a few but I'm afraid but that's the only way I can think of doing it without seeing a picture of the machine.
Most machine have the model number written on them somewhere, but that doesn't sound like the case here.
Hopefully your manual will be able to tell you which settings are correct for your machine in able for it to sew properly.

I too have an J-C34 Riccar sewing machine. It was my grandmother's. I'm looking for a copy of the owner's manual. Do you have one?

Even though the machine was bought 30 years ago, we overcame the problem by lubricating all the moving parts indicated in the manual with a silicone lubricant. We would have used a recognised sewing machine thin oil; but living deep in the French countryside, we didn't have access to an outlet and we had a deadline to meet for the work we were doing.

It now seems to be silent and smooth-running. The problem only arose when my wife changed her choice of settings from one of the ones she regularly uses to one that she had never used before. Thank you
